Abstract: | RcsB interacts with GadE to mediate acid resistance in stationary-phase Escherichia coli K-12. We show here that RcsB is also required for inducible acid resistance in exponential phase and that it acts on promoters that are not GadE regulated. It is also required for acid resistance in E. coli O157:H7. |
