| Abstract: | Summary A brief review on the structure nd functions of the copper-pyrroloquinoline quinone amine oxidases is presented. Data concerning the metal and organic cofactors are reported, giving special emphasis to their structural relationship with the protein molecule and mechanistic properties. Information on the functional role of these enzymes with respect to polyamine metabolism are also given. |
