Abstract: | Evidence is reported for the presence of the mRNAs of thioredoxinh, oryzacystatin-I, and actin in the rice phloem sap collectedby the insect laser method. As the sieve element, the core componentof the phloem, is enucleated, these macromolecules are probablytransported from the companion cells. 1Current address: Ajinomoto Co., Inc., Fermentation & BiotechnologyLaboratories, 1-1 Suzuki-cho, Kawasaki-ku, Kawasaki, 210-8581Japan. |
