| Abstract: | A rapid DNA minipreparation method was developed for cotton and yields 500–600 μg DNA from 1.0 g fresh leaf tissue. Cotton DNA extracted using this method is completely digested with restriction enzymes, supports PCR and Southern DNA analyses and was used successfully in these applications.
