Abstract: | No evidence could be obtained for the involvement of dioxygenases in the generation of 14CO2 from catechol-14C] observed in soybean cell cultures. Culture filtrates incubated with catechol and H2O2 were, however, able to catalyze the ring-cleavage, as was horseradish peroxidase. |
