Abstract:A new assay procedure for tripeptidase is described. The difference in optical density between the copper complex of diglycylglycine and the copper complex of its enzymatic breakdown products as observed at 540 mμ is the measure of enzymatic activity. A demonstration of zero-order kinetics with regard to substrate concentration is presented for calf thymus tripeptidase using the new procedure.
