Axonal-transsynaptic spread as the basic pathogenetic mechanism in B virus infection of the nervous system.

Abstract:An experimental study on the pathogenesis of B virus infection in the mouse has documented that the agent spreads in an axonal-transsynaptic manner in the nervous system. The characteristics of the spread of B virus are similar to those of other members of the herpes virus group.
