| Abstract: | The effect of glucose on polyol metabolism by Rhizobium trifolii was studied. Phenomena similar to catabolite repression and catabolite inhibition were observed. The catabolism of glucose to at least glucose 6-phosphate was required for the effects to be exerted. |
