| Abstract: | The structure of two new saponins, polyphyllins G and H, isolated from the tubers of Paris polyphylla have been elucidated as 3-O-{α-l-rhamnopyranosyl (1→3) α-l-arabinofuranosyl (1→4)]-β-d-glucopyranosyl}-26-O-β-d-glucopyranosyl] (25R)-22α-hydroxy-furost-5-en-3β, 26-diol and its 22-methoxy derivative respectively. |
