Abstract: | For the first time, early juvenile stages of gilthead sea bream Sparus aurata were consistently collected in a brackish estuarine area in the southern Irish Sea over a period of 4 months. This finding, in connection with other recent evidence, raises the possibility that S. aurata may currently spawn, or at least successfully settle, in more northern locations than previously known. |
