Isolation of Exophiala jeanselmei from bat guano |

| Abstract: | Exophiala jeanselmei was isolated from two out of 75 samples of bat guano. The isolates hydrolysed urea and tyrosine, assimilated sodium nitrate and produced a zone of haemolysis on blood agar, They were pathogenic for laboratory mice when injected subcutaneously, intraperitoneally or intravenously. |
