| Abstract: | We found expression of the renin gene in the intestine of human, mouse and the transgenic mouse in which the 3' flanking sequences of the human renin gene function as a tissue-specific promoter. A cotransfection analysis showed that the promoter is activated by the product of adenovirus E1A 13S mRNA in cells originated from extrarenal tissues. |
