Abstract: | The following dynamics of the amount of major bone marrow cell populations was observed upon continuous 250-day exposure of rats to gamma-radiation at a dose-rate of 0.1 Gy/day: the haemopoiesis was stimulated during the first three months, then the main parameters were stabilized (within the physiological fluctuations). Lymphopenia, neutrophilic leukocytosis and a trend towards the decrease in the erythrocyte level developed in the peripheral blood of exposed rats. |
