Abstract: | A novel 2D MOF material Cd2(AmTRZ)2·I3]·(R4N+)] (1; AmTRZ = 3-amino-1,2,4-triazole, R4N+ = tetraethylammonium), with an anionic skeleton has been hydrothermally synthesized in presence of an ionic liquid, tetraethylammonium hydroxide. 1 is endowed with large helical porous channels and two cadmium metal centers with different coordination environment around them besides showing presence of an unprecedentedly ordered extra-framework layer pattern of the encapsulated Et4N+ counter cations. |
