Biosynthesis of cytokinins by potato cell cultures |

| Abstract: | Potato cells grown in liquid culture incorporated mevalonic acid lactone-[2-14C] into free cytokinin (zeatin riboside and zeatin and the cytokinin of RNA (zeatin riboside). The cytokinin liberated by catabolism of RNA can account for no more than 40% of the free cytokinins. |
