| Abstract: | A new nonlinear age-structured population model is presented. Within its framework the occurence of time-persistent age distributions is possible, even if the population sizes are nonstationary. The age distribution as well as the moments of the generation index can be determined analytically. The proposed model is a nonlinear generalization of Lotka's theory of stable populations. |
