| Abstract: | The chemiluminescent response of kidney phagocytic cells was significantly increased by the oral administration of bovine lactoferrin to rainbow trout, Oncorhynchus mykiss. The phagocytic activity of kidney cells was also increased by administration of bovine lactoferrin to the fish. Activation of kidney cells was also observed in vitro with cells cultured in the presence of bovine lactoferrin. |
