Abstract:A procedure for subdividing and analyzing small segments of an electrophoretic pattern is presented.Electrophoretic patterns of human plasma adjusted to varying pH values (7.6-2.0) with HCl are described. The concentrations and properties of the globulin components are markedly affected as the pH values decrease.Electrophoretic analyses of fractions obtained after treatment of human plasma with tungstate and picrate are presented. Specific components do not appear to be selectively separated by these alkaloidal reagents.
