Abstract: | Fluorimetric titrations of acridine orange and heparin indicate that the equivalent weight of the latter can be related to its anticoagulant activity. Pulse radiolysis has been used to compare the binding of acridine orange and poly-L-lysine with several heparins of differing biological activities. Although correlation with biological activity can be made, the dye and poly-L-lysine differ in their binding characteristics to heparin. |
