宠物和宠物市场

我国自上世纪80年代中期以来逐渐形成了一个以犬、猫为代表的宠物市场。经过20多年的发展,宠物市场已经成为一个涵盖宠物养殖、宠物交易、宠物食品和用品的生产与销售、宠物医药保健、宠物赛会、宠物美容、宠物训导等内容的庞大产业。根据中国犬业协会（CNKC）的统计2004年中国犬只的交易额超过100亿元。成都市狂犬病防治办公室的统计现有已免疫的犬只超过20万只,实际犬只数量远超过这个数。加上数量同样庞大的家猫,我们推测成都市的宠物总量超过50万只。如此巨大数量的犬猫构筑了宠物市场坚实的自然基础。

Pets and Pet Market

A pet market represented by dogs and cats has been established gradually in China since middle 1980s.After the development of more than 20 years,the pet market has became a great industry that covers pet cultivation,pet trading,production and sale of pet food and articles for use,pet medicine and health care,pet show,pet beautification and pet training.According to the statistics of CNKC,the trading volume of pet dogs in China was more than RMB 10 billion in 2004.Chengdu Rabies Prevention and Treatment Office has recorded more than 200,000 immune dogs which are far less than the actual number.Plus the pet cats that are also of a large number,we estimate that the total number of pets in Chengdu is more than 500,000.Such a large number of pet dogs and cats lay a strong natural foundation for the pet market.
