| Abstract: | Changes in the mycolic acid composition of three cutaneous strains of corynebacteria were caused by the addition of Tween 80 to the culture medium. Gas chromatography-mass spectrometry showed that the carbon chain length and the degree of unsaturation had been affected: the levels of corynomycolic acid with 36 carbon atoms and two double bonds increased significantly. |
