Synopsis Premetamorphosing larvae of Muraenesox cinereus (Muraenesocidae) and Conger myriaster (Congridae), caught and kept alive in aquaria, repeatedly bit pieces out of a lump of squid paste. By coloring the paste with Brilliant Red, ingestion and defecation were clearly seen through the transparent gut. The paste is not their natural food, but nevertheless a possible food item for rearing eels from eggs; most previous efforts have failed inasmuch as the larvae have starved.  相似文献

AC voltammetric carbon paste-based enzyme immunosensors   总被引:10,自引:0,他引:10  
Carbon paste electrodes, previously anodised in a basic media, are the basis for the development of a new voltammetric immunosensor device. Passive adsorption of the appropriate immunochemical reagent was performed onto the electrode surface. Alkaline Phosphatase labelled immunoglobulin was the tracer used in this work, 3-indoxyl phosphate being a very suitable enzymatic substrate for the electrochemical detection of the corresponding affinity reaction. The hydrolysis of this molecule generates indigo dimmer. This product was detected by alternating current voltammetry taking advantage of the adsorptive and inherent electrodic properties that it exhibits. The same electrochemical anodisation was used at the end of one assay to remove the entire protein layer attached to the carbon paste surface, allowing the formation of a new sensing phase and the use of the same support in several consecutive experiments. The methodology was applied to the design of two different immunoassays for the determination of human IgG. Good reproducibility of the electrodic signal and a limit of detection around 10−10 M were achieved.  相似文献

The efficacy of one new modified and two old meridic diets on Helicoverpa armigera Hübner (Lepidoptera: Noctuidae) for rearing six successive generations was studied. Duration of larval development for insects fed on the modified diet was considerably shortened as most of them went through only five stadia before pupation, while the per cent pupation and per cent eclosion were relatively higher than on other diets. The lowest pupal mortality (6.33 ± 0.13%) was recorded in the F1 generation reared on the modified diet, whereas the highest pupal mortality (19.49 ± 0.15%) was observed in insects reared on a natural diet in the F6 generation. Blending of chickpea Cicer arietinum L. and red kidney bean Phaseolus vulgaris L. flours with tomato paste proved highly favorable for adult reproduction. These results suggest that the vitality of the tomato fruitworm did not decline obviously after rearing on a modified diet for several generations.  相似文献

Several silicone oils have been assessed and compared as an internal source of oxygen in connection to their use as binders for carbon-paste glucose biosensors. All four poly(dimethylsiloxane) (PDMS) oils tested a dramatic increase in the oxygen capacity of carbon-paste enzyme electrodes to allow convenient biosensing under severe oxygen-deficit conditions. The resulting oxygen independence is better than that exerted by perfluorocarbon binders or that displayed by mediator-based bioelectrodes. The resistance to oxygen effects is indicated from the identical response (observed in the presence and absence of oxygen) up to 2 x 10(-2) M glucose and the slight (12%) sensitivity loss at 4 x 10(-2) M. The influence of the viscosity of the PDMS binder upon the internal oxygen supply is examined. The PDMS carbon-paste enzyme electrode displays a stable glucose response over prolonged (15 h) operation in an oxygen-free solution. On-line continuous testing indicates favorable dynamic properties with no carry-over effects over the physiological and pathophysiological range (3-12 mM glucose).  相似文献

A carbon paste electrode modified with multiwall carbon nanotubes and copper(I) oxide (MWCNT-Cu2O CPME) was fabricated, and the electrochemical behaviors of 19 kinds of natural amino acids at this modified electrode were studied. The experimental results showed that the various kinds of amino acids without any derivatization displayed obvious oxidation current responses at the modified electrode. It was also found that the current response values of amino acids were dependent mainly on pH values of buffer solutions. The phenomenon could be explained by the fact that the amino acids suffered complexation or electrocatalytic oxidation processes under different pH values. Six kinds of amino acids (arginine, tryptophan, histidine, threonine, serine, and tyrosine), which performed high-oxidation current responses in alkaline buffers, were selected to be detected simultaneously by capillary zone electrophoresis coupled with amperometric detection (CZE-AD). These amino acids could be perfectly separated within 20 min, and their detection limits were as low as 10−7 or 10−8 mol L−1 magnitude (signal/noise ratio = 3). The above results demonstrated that MWCNT-Cu2O CPME could be successfully employed as an electrochemical sensor for amino acids with some advantages of convenient preparation, high sensitivity, and good repeatability.  相似文献

A mixture of steamed soybean and boiled rice with seeded Aspergillus oryzae was naturally fermented without addition of yeasts or Lactobacilli, and kept matured for 12 months at room temperature. Chemical analysis of this rice-koji miso sample for lipid changes during maturation showed that triacylglycerol was gradually decomposed into free fatty acid, with distinct formation of fatty acid ethyl ester which, six months after the start of fermentation, came to account for 35.0% of total lipid. The ester was constituted primarily with linoleic acid (ca. 50%) and oleic acid (ca. 20%), no appreciable change in this proportion being observed during maturation. Also, the proportion was unique in that this did not reflect the fatty acid composition in a mixture of the two materials. It is possible to monitor the maturation of the rice-koji miso by following up the increase with time in fatty acid ethyl ester.  相似文献

本文报道饲养棉铃虫的一种新的含有番茄酱的实用人工饲料。取食这种饲料时,绝大部分幼虫只有5个龄期。因此,幼虫历期大为缩短。在该饲料中加入适量绿豆粉取代麦胚能在一定程度上提高成虫的繁殖力。在连续12代饲养期间,幼虫期存活率在87.5%-98.7%之间,蛹期死亡率不到5%;第11代成虫平均产卵千粒左右,孵化率达86.5%。这些结果表明,经过2年连续饲养后,棉铃虫的活力并没有明显的降低。  相似文献

Abstract A new and practical artificial diet for the cotton bollworm, Helicoverpa armigera (Hübner), containing canned tomato paste has been developed. The developmental duration of larvae fed on the diet was greatly shortened because most of them only went through 5 stadia before pupation. To add certain amount of mung bean flour to partly substitute for wheat germ in the diet was beneficial to the adult reproduction. During rearing period of 12 successive generations, 87. 5%-98. 7% of the larvae survived and only less than 5 % of the pupae failed to emerge. The number of egg laid by the adults of the 11th generation averaged about 1 000/female, with a hatching rate of 86. 5%. These results suggested that the vitality of the cotton bollworm did not decline obviously after reared with the diet for two years.  相似文献

Electrogenerated chemiluminescence (ECL) of a ruthenium complex polymer modified carbon paste electrode and its analytical applications were investigated. The ruthenium complex polymer was prepared using bis(2,2‐bipyridine) (4,4‐dicarboxy‐2,2‐bipyridine) ruthenium(II). The ECL behaviours of ruthenium complex polymer modified carbon paste electrode were investigated in the absence and presence of tripropylamine (TPA). The modified carbon paste electrode exhibited long‐term stability and fine reproducibility. The ECL intensity of the modified carbon paste electrode was linear with the concentration of TPA in the range 2.0 × 10–6–3.8 × 10–3 mol/L, with a detection limit (S:N = 3) of 6 × 10–7 mol/L. It was also found that raceanisodamine could enhance the ECL intensity of the modified electrode. The ECL intensity of the modified carbon paste electrode was linear with the concentration of raceanisodamine in the range 1.1 × 10–5–6.0 × 10–4 mol/L, with a detection limit (S:N = 3) of 6 × 10–6 mol/L. This work demonstrates that the entrapment of ruthenium complex in a highly cross‐linked polymer is a promising approach to construct an ECL modified electrode with long‐term stability and fine reproducibility.
