本文在采集标本基础上,结合分析大量有关资料,讨论了鄂西南香蒲科等四科植物区系特征。结果表明:1.区系组成包括5属20种2变种1杂种。其中有1新种1新变种和3个湖北分布新记录。2.区系种类丰富,起源古老,对湖北同类区系具有代表性。3.有一定比例的特有成分(8.70%)。4.区系地理成分复杂多样,但主要具有东亚亚热带一温带分布(26.09%)和世界性分布(26.09%)的性质。5.本区四科植物区系主要与处于我国地貌第三级阶梯上的省区发生密切联系。其区系分区,在亚区的划分上与陆生种子植物相同。  相似文献

Genetic diversity at variable-number-tandem-repeat (VNTR) loci was examined in the common cattail, Typha latifolia (Typhaceae), using three synthetic DNA probes composed of tandemly repeated “core” sequences (GACA, GATA, and GCAC). The principal objectives of this investigation were to determine whether: (1) the previously reported almost complete lack of polymorphism at allozyme loci in this species was indicative of a reduced amount of genetic diversity at VNTR loci as well; (2) VNTR markers were informative about possible clonal propagation; and (3) significant differences in genetic structure of sampling sites were associated with differences in environmental levels of pollutants at those sites. Previously, widespread sampling across the eastern United States, surveying across ten allozyme loci, has detected only two genotypes, involving a difference at a single locus, among 104 populations. In this study, the amount of genetic diversity detected at VNTR loci: (1) among ramets (N = 40; 40 genotypes detected) collected at ∼8-km intervals along a 320-km transect; (2) among ramets (N = 220; 117 genotypes detected) from five study sites separated by 50–3000 m; and (3) even among ramets within each study site [N = 44 per site; from 13 to 34 genotypes detected per site (270 m2)] exceeds that previously found in those more geographically widespread allozyme surveys. Among the 260 ramets analyzed here, the mean number of bands scored per individual was 48.61 (SD = 2.80). Mean genetic similarity among ramets collected along the 320-km transect was 0.91, which was within the range of mean genetic similarity within the five study sites (range: 0.89–0.95). Among the five study sites, 61% of the samples analyzed appeared to be clonal ramets, with up to 12 clones detected for 44 ramets sampled within a site. Clones grew intermingled and ranged up to 39 m in extent. Permutation tests of genetic similarity revealed significant genetic differentiation between each of the five study sites. Consistent with the previous allozyme studies, T. latifolia was characterized by extremely low genetic variation relative to levels of polymorphism detected at VNTR loci in other plant species. Estimated heterozygosity among ramets along the 320-km transect ranged from 0.11 to 0.13, while that within the five study sites ranged from 0.05 to 0.12. Estimates of Fst (0.32–0.41) also indicated considerable genetic subdivision among these stands. Significantly higher genetic diversity was detected at the two study sites that chemistry and toxicity data indicate to be the most severely impacted by pollutants. Although this correlation does not establish cause and effect, the results of this study indicate that the analysis of genetic diversity at VNTR loci may be a useful tool for monitoring anthropogenic-induced changes in the genetic structure of natural populations of plants.  相似文献

We have been able to isolate several phytotoxic compounds from aqueous extracts and leachates of cattails (Typha domingensis) using activated charcoal as an absorbant, followed by successive extraction with organic solvents, analysis by GC/MS, and structural elucidation by NMR spectroscopy when possible. The phytotoxins were identified as essential fatty acids (linoleic acid and alpha-linolenic acid) and phenolic compounds of known phytotoxic activity (caffeic acid from the aqueous extracts; caffeic, p-coumaric, and gallic acid from the leachates). Both extracts and the phytotoxins in the extracts have the potential of inhibiting the growth and chlorophyll production of several ecologically relevant species.  相似文献

Fruits of Restionaceae and seeds of Typhaceae are described from a latest Eocene–Oligocene mudstone underlying oil shales in a subsurface sequence near Rockhampton, coastal central Queensland. The Restionaceae fruits are unilocular and encase a single pendulous orthotropous seed with a structured micropylar cap, which may be tannin filled. These are allocated to Restiocarpum gen. nov., which has as its type Restiocarpum latericum sp. nov., and four other taxa described herein; Restiocarpum tesselatum sp. nov., Restiocarpum verrucatum sp. nov., Restiocarpum laeve sp. nov., and Restiocarpum fusiforme sp. nov. Typhaspermum cooksoniae gen. et sp. nov., which accommodates asymmetric claviform seeds, is interpreted as a member of the Typhaceae based on the presence of a lid-like operculum, bitegmic wall, and chalazal cavity.

Reconstruction of the source plant community emphasizes similarities to restiad swamps of present day Wallum (swamp heathland) vegetation which is extensively developed along the Queensland coast. Biogeographic implications for the Restionaceae and Typhaceae are discussed.  相似文献

Effects of pH on ammonium uptake by Typha latifolia L.   总被引:5,自引:0,他引:5  
The effects of solution pH on NH4+ uptake kinetics and net H+ extrusion by Typha latifolia L. were studied during short-term (days) and long-term (weeks) exposure to pH in the range of pH 3.5–8.0. The NH4+ uptake kinetics were estimated from depletion curves using a modified Michaelis-Menten model. T. latifolia was able to grow in solution culture with NH4+ as the sole N source and to withstand a low medium pH for short periods (days). With prolonged exposure (weeks) to pH 3.5, however, the plants showed severe symptoms of stress and stopped growing. The solution pH affected NH4+ uptake kinetics. The affinity for NH4+, as quantified by the half saturation constant (K1/2) and Cmin (the NH4+ concentration at which uptake ceases), decreased with pH. K1/2 was increased from 7.1 to 19.2 mmol m?3 and Cmin from 2.0 to 5.7 mmol m?3 by lowering the pH in steps from 8.0 to 3.5. Vmax was, however, largely unaffected by pH (~22 μmol h?1 g?1 root dry weight). Under prolonged exposure to constant pH, growth rates were highest at PH 5.0 and 6.5. At pH 8.0 growth was slightly depressed and at pH 3.5 growth completely stopped. NH4+ uptake kinetics were similar at pH 5.0, 6.5 and 8.0 whereas at pH 3.5 NH4+ uptake almost completely stopped. The ratio between net H+ extrusion and NH4+ uptake decreased significantly at low pH. The adverse effects of low pH on NH4+ uptake kinetics are probably a consequence of a reduced H+-ATPase activity and/or an increased re-entry of H+ at low pH, and the associated decrease in the electrochemical gradient across the plasma membranes of the root cells.  相似文献

Although Prionium is included in Juncaceae, rbcL sequence data indicate that Juncaceae is paraphyletic, with most genera closer to Cyperaceae than to Prionium. Cyperaceae and Juncales have embryological synapomorphies: thus embryology is used to test the monophyly of Juncaceae. The embryology of Prionium is described and its systematic position discussed. Material was prepared using standard methods of paraffin embedding. Additional embryological data were extracted from the literature. The anther in Prionium is tetrasporangiate, and the wall has an epidermis, an endothecium and middle layer, and an irregularly bilayered, glandular secretory tapetum. Microsporogenesis is probably simultaneous; pollen is ulcerate with a granular exine, in tetrahedral and cross tetrads, and trinucleate at release. The trilocular ovary contains many crassinucellate ovules probably having a Polygonum-type embryo sac. Endosperm is helobial and the embryo is of the Onagrad type, Juncus variation. The seed is testal-tegmic and germination is epigeal. The embryology of Prionium is most like that of Juncaceae, which shares several synapomorphies with Cyperaceae. Some of the characters in Cyperaceae may be interpreted as specialized forms of those found in Juncaceae. Embryology supports the monophyly of Cyperaceae and Juncales, but not Juncaceae; thus the position of Prionium remains unresolved.  相似文献

The objective of this work was to determine whether radial oxygen loss (ROL) from roots of Typha domingensis and Cladium jamaicense creates an internal oxygen deficiency or, conversely, indicates adequate internal aeration and leakage of excess oxygen to the rhizosphere. Methylene blue in agar was used to visualize the pattern of ROL from roots, and oxidation of a titanium-citrate solution was used to quantify rates of oxygen leakage. Typha's roots had a higher porosity than Cladium's and responded to flooding treatment by increasing cortical air space, particularly near the root tips. A greater oxygen release, which occurred along the subapical root axis, and an increase in rhizosphere redox potential (E(h)) over time were associated with the well-developed aerenchyma system in Typha. Typha roots, regardless of oxygen release pattern, showed low or undetectable alcohol dehydrogenase (ADH) activity or ethanol concentrations, indicating that ROL did not cause internal deficiencies. Cladium roots also released oxygen, but this loss primarily occurred at the root tips and was accompanied by increased root ADH activity and ethanol concentrations. These results support the hypothesis that oxygen release by Cladium is accompanied by internal deficiencies of oxygen sufficient to stimulate alcoholic fermentation and helps explain Cladium's lesser flood tolerance in comparison with Typha.  相似文献

Résumé L'incubation des oeufs d'Archanara sparganii, Esper (Lepidoptera: Noctuidae) s'étend sur 8 à 9 mois dans les conditions naturelles. Elle est temporairement interrompue par une diapause qui intervient à un stade précoce de l'embryogénèse et se prolonge de l'été à la fin de l'hiver. Au laboratoire, l'incubation est néanmoins possible à température constante entre 8 et 21 °C. Une étude expérimentale a montré que l'intensité de la diapause s'accroît lorsque la température en début d'incubation est portée pendant 15 jours de 11 °C à 15 °C et 21 °C. Aucun des modèles expérimentaux faisant intervenir la température n'a permis d'éviter totalement la diapause. La durée de celle-ci a néanmoins été réduite des trois quarts dans certaines circonstances, rendant possible l'éclosion des larves avant l'hiver. Ces résultats servent à interpréter les altérations du cycle biologique du nord au sud de la distribution d'A. sparganii. La perte rapide de réceptivité de Typha spp. à l'égard des larves jeunes justifie par ailleurs une entrée en diapause précoce de l'espèce sous climat méditerranéen.  相似文献

Hybridization studies have been carried out with Typha angustifolia, T. latifolia, T. shuttleworthii and T. minima. All combinations, except those with T. minima, were successful. The hybrid T. latifolia (♀) × T. angustifolia (♂) has been obtained after 5 attempts involving hundreds of pollinations. The pollen proteins of the parental as well as the F1 generation have been examined by isoelectrofocusing (IEF). The proteins from each species and each hybrid form displayed a distinct and constant pattern. The pollen protein profile thus represents a new, quite easily accessible character by which F1 hybrids between the species studied can be unequivocally identified, whereas the morphological criteria described in the literature to distinguish intermediate forms is insufficient for this purpose.  相似文献
