Species composition, relative abundance, distribution and physical habitat associations of submerged aquatic macrophytes in the main channel border (MCB) habitat of Pool 5A, Upper Mississippi River (UMR) were investigated during the summers of 1980 and 1983. The submerged aquatic macrophytes in Pool .5A MCB were a small and stable component of the river ecosystem. Submerged plants occurred primarily in small, monospecific clumps. Clumps in close proximity to each other formed plant patches. Plant patches were stable in location and number between 1980 and 1983; 82.5% of the patches first observed in 1980 were present in 1983. Submerged macrophytes covered about 10–12 ha of the 201 ha MCB in Pool 5A. Submerged plants were most common in the lower two-thirds of the pool. Ten species of aquatic macrophytes occurred on rock channel-training structures and eleven occurred on non-rock substrates in the MCB. The most common submerged plants, in order of abundance, were Vallisneria americana Michx., Heteranthra dubia Jacq., Potamogeton pectinatus L., Ceratophyllum demersum L. and Potamogeton americanus C. & S.  相似文献

The structure of the seed bank (including Chara oospores), in relation to depth within the sediment and disturbance, was studied in two Rhône delta temporary marshes for two years. The seeds of all species were concentrated in the top 2 cm of sediment with very low numbers beeing found below 4 cm. When an exclosure eliminated disturbances of the sediment by animals, the vertical repartition of seeds at site 2 was more pronounced than outside the exclosure.In experiment 1, the emergence capacity of seeds from different depths and buried under layers of sterile equivalent to those in the field was measured. Depending of the species, 22 to 98% of the seeds germinated from unburied seeds in the top 2 cm. Only 1% of the oospores of Chara (from site 2) at 2 to 4 cm depth in the sediment emerged.In experiment 2, surface seed bank samples were placed under 0, 2 or 4 cm sterile sediment depth. The samples contained numerous recent seeds and the emergence percentage reached 41% (for Ruppia maritima). Only the seeds of Zannichellia spp failed to germinate from a depth of 2 cm or more. The emergence percentage from 2 cm depth or more was always lower than at the surface. These experiments showed that both burial and ageing of seeds decrease germination capacity.The majority of the active seeds located at the surface germinate when the marsh is flooded. Seeds located between 2 and 4 cm can be brought back to the surface by disturbances and play the role of a reserve involved in maintenance of populations that go without seed production for one or some years.  相似文献

During the submerged fermentation of medicinal mushroom Chinese truffle Tuber sinense, there was no significant effect of metal ion on the cell growth and the production of intracellular polysaccharides, while metal ion and its concentration significantly affected the production of extracellular polysaccharides (EPS). By using the approach of "one-variable-at-a-time", 50 mM Mg2+ was identified to be the most favorable for EPS production, and the next was 10 mM K+. A mathematical model, constructed by response surface methodology combination with full factorial design, was applied to study the synergic effect of Mg2+ and K+. EPS production reached its peak value of 5.86 g/L under their optimal combination of 30 mM Mg2+ and 5 mM K+ predicted by the model, which was higher by 130.7% compared with the basal fermentation medium without metal ion. The validation experiment showed the experimental values agreed with the predicted values well. EPS production obtained in this work was the highest reported in the culture of T. sinense.  相似文献

We quantitatively studied the effect of submerged plants on water quality and biota under fish-free conditions for 3 weeks in four large freshwater experimental ponds (533 m3 per pond) at the Aqua Restoration Research Center, Japan. Two artificially harvested ponds with scant vegetation were used as “harvested ponds” (H1, H2), and the other two ponds, which were naturally dominated by Hydrilla verticillata, were used as “vegetated ponds” (V1, V2). The PVI (percent water volume infested with macrophytes) was employed as an index of vegetation abundance. Vegetated ponds had much clearer water than harvested ponds. The water quality in H2 (PVI 10%) was better than in H1 (PVI 3%), whereas the water quality did not differ significantly between the two vegetated ponds (V1, PVI 38% and V2, PVI 84%). Therefore, the threshold between clear water and turbidity was between 10 and 38% in PVI. Our result also showed that a turbid water state was created shortly after harvest. Green algae were abundant in the harvested ponds, and diatoms were dominant in the vegetated ponds. Rotifers were stably dominant in the harvested ponds. Aquatic worms were more abundant in the harvested ponds than in the vegetated ponds. Unexpectedly, zooplanktons were much less abundant in the vegetated ponds; therefore, zooplankton grazing was not the main mechanism behind the cleaner water in our experiment. These results are physical evidence that the presence of dense macrophytes was the main factor in the creation of a clear water state.  相似文献

在摇瓶试验基础上,采用里氏木霉(Trichoderma reesei)HC-415菌株进行5L自控罐产纤维素酶深层发酵试验。在通气量为 0.2—0.6vvm、搅拌速度为 400r/min、发酵液pH控制在5.8—6.1的条件下,发酵液的羧甲基纤维素(CMC)酶酶活最高为325.0mg糖/ml,滤纸糖酶(FPA)酶活最高达17.9mg糖/ml。发酵周期为108h。所得冻干纤维素酶粉CMC酶活最高3111IU/g,FPA最高135IU/g ,对发酵液得率平均6.7g/L。酶活总收率CMC酶活平均78.2%,FPA酶活平均73.5%。  相似文献

沉水植物属于高等植物,由陆生被子植物演化而来,它们在形态、光合生态生理方面对水下生活环境发生了一系列适应性变化。沉水植物的光合作用受水体中光、温度、pH和无机碳等影响,本文对此进行了综述。水中低CO2扩散率以及细胞外较厚的扩散层阻碍了沉水植物净碳的吸收,因此,沉水植物光合作用速率受到无机碳供应的限制。为获得无机碳,沉水植物在形态结构和生理生化上表现一定的特性,包括薄的叶片层并含有叶绿体以及对HCO3-利用的能力,拟C4型和CAM型光合代谢途径的选择。这些是沉水植物碳浓缩机制的具体体现。  相似文献

A restoration program for the control of cyanobacterial blooms and the re-establishment of submerged macrophytes was conducted in Meiliang Bay of Lake Taihu since 2003. The effect of this ecological projects on plankton community and water quality, and factors regulating phytoplankton community were investigated in 2005. In general, some improvements of water quality occurred in the ecological restoration region, especially in the region of restoring aquatic macrophytes, where we detected significant reduction of nutrients. However, it seems the abundance of phytoplankton cannot be effectively control by the present ecological engineering. The phytoplankton abundance was high in the target restoration zone. Results of CCA and correlation analysis indicate that the phytoplankton community was mainly controlled by physico-chemical factors. Cyanobacteria species were positively related with pH, temperature, TP and TSS, while negatively related with TN, TN/TP and conductivity. The most discriminant variable was TN/TP, which explained 15% of the total variance of phytoplankton. However, TN was more important for the fluctuation of TN/TP than TP. It suggested that TN may be the ultimate factor controlling the phytoplankton community in Lake Taihu. Variation partitioning analysis showed that the pure contribution of crustacean was low for the variation of phytoplankton, suggesting that top-down control by crustacean zooplankton was weak in Lake Taihu. In general, this study suggested the reduction of nutrient load should be more important than top-down control using zooplankton for the ecosystem restoration in Lake Taihu.  相似文献

Using ethane as a marker for peroxidative damage to membranes by reactive oxygen species (ROS) we examined the injury of rice seedlings during submergence in the dark. It is often expressed that membrane injury from ROS is a post-submergence phenomenon occurring when oxygen is re-introduced after submergence-induced anoxia. We found that ethane production, from rice seedlings submerged for 24–72 h, was stimulated to 4–37 nl gFW−1, indicating underwater membrane peroxidation. When examined a week later the seedlings were damaged or had died. On de-submergence in air, ethane production rates rose sharply, but fell back to less than 0.1 nl gFW−1 h−1 after 2 h. We compared submergence-susceptible and submergence-tolerant cultivars, submergence starting in the morning (more damage) and in the afternoon (less damage) and investigated different submergence durations. The seedlings showed extensive fatality whenever total ethane emission exceeded about 15 nl gFW−1. Smaller amounts of ethane emission were linked to less extensive injury to leaves. Partial oxygen shortage (O2 levels <1%) imposed for 2 h in gas phase mixtures also stimulated ethane production. In contrast, seedlings under anaerobic gas phase conditions produced no ethane until re-aerated: then a small peak was observed followed by a low, steady ethane production. We conclude that damage during submergence is not associated with extensive anoxia. Instead, injury is linked to membrane peroxidation in seedlings that are partially oxygen deficient while submerged. On return to air, further peroxidation is suppressed within about 2 h indicating effective control of ROS production not evident during submergence itself.  相似文献

先在基础培养基中添加苦参水煎汁,然后培养灵芝,得到灵芝培养液,再按乙醇氯仿-5%碳酸氢钠溶液-氯仿的顺序提取培养液中的有机酸成分,用制备高效液相色谱分离,得到6个新组分,用这些组分分别作用于转染了乙型肝炎病毒DNA的2.2.15细胞,用固相放射免疫法测定细胞培养上清液中的乙肝病毒表面抗原(HBsAg)和e抗原(HBeAg)的含量,用四甲基偶氮唑盐(MTT)法测定细胞的存活率。结果表明,其中的3个组分对2.2.15细胞分泌HBsAg和HBeAg有抑制作用,提示可能具有抗乙肝病毒的作用。  相似文献
