Relations between cytokinin concentrations and effects of P and vesicular-arbuscular mycorrhizal (VAM) infection were investigated in Plantago major L. ssp. pleiosperma Pilger. Both mycorrhizal infection by Glomus fasciculatum (Thaxt. sensu Gerdemann) Gerdemann and Trappe and P addition increased the shoot to root ratio, specific leaf area (SLA), and P concentrations of shoot and roots, and decreased the percentage of dry matter in the shoot during the experiment. In general, P concentration in the shoot and roots of each treatment correlated positively with the shoot to root ratio and specific leaf area, and negatively with the percentage of dry matter in the shoot. Cytokinin concentrations in the tissue of shoots and roots were determined using an enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay. Concentrations of zeatin and zeatin-ribosides in the free base and nucleotide fractions had increased more after P addition than in the case of mycorrhizal infection in both shoot and roots, whereas the P concentrations had increased less. It is suggested that zeatin and zeatin-ribosides are not the primary growth-substances involved in mediating VAM effects.  相似文献

Biotic factors in the rhizosphere and their effect on the growth ofPlantago major L. ssp.pleiosperma Pilger (Great plantain) were studied. In a pot experiment the effect on shoot growth of the addition of 2.5% rhizosphere soil at four levels of phosphate was highly dependent on the availability of phosphate: a promoting effect at low phosphate levels was observed while a reducing effect occurred at higher phosphate levels. As the roots were infected with vesicular-arbuscular mycorrhizal (VAM) fungi in the treatment with rhizosphere soil, two other experiments were set up to separate effects of the indigenous VAM fungi from effects of the total rhizosphere population. The uptake of phosphate and shoot growth was not decreased at higher phosphate availability when VAM inoculum was added alone or in combination with rhizosphere soil. The growth reducing effect of the rhizosphere soil could therefore not be ascribed only to mycorrhizal infection. The results suggest that biotic factors in the rhizosphere soil affect the phosphate uptake ofPlantago major ssp.pleiosperma. This may, under conditions of phosphate limitation, lead to an increase of phosphate stress and, subsequently, a growth reduction. Futhermore, it is concluded that VAM fungi, as part of the rhizosphere population, may compensate this phosphate stress by enhancing the phosphate uptake.Grassland Species Research Group Publication No. 148.  相似文献

Summary The chloroplast DNA (ctDNA) of Solanum tuberosum ssp. tuberosum (T type) and S. chacoense (W type) yield five different restriction fragment patterns with five different restriction endonucleases. DNA-DNA hybridization tests revealed that these differences were all caused by one physical deletion (about 400 bp in size) in the ctDNA of ssp. tuberosum. This suggests that T type ctDNA of the common potato and of Chilean tuberosum originated from W type ctDNA. Summary Chloroplast DNA from 44 lines of 16 wild and 7 cultivatedSolanum species were compared by restriction endonuclease analysis. Seven chloroplast genome types were identified among them by 5 restriction enzymes: Type A (S. tuberosum ssp.andigena andS. maglia); Type S (S. goniocalyx, S. phureja, S. stenotomum, S. ×chaucha and a line of ssp.andigena); Type C (S. acaule, S. bukasovii, S. canasense, S. multidissectum andS. ×juzepczukii); Type T (S. tuberosum ssp.tuberosum); Type W (other wild species); Type W (S. chacoense f.gibberulosum) and Type W (S. tarijense). From this cytoplasmic identification, it was concluded thatS. goniocalyx, S. phureja, S. ×chaucha and ssp.andigena were derived fromS. stenotomum or its primitive type, which may have originally evolved itself fromS. canasense. The chloroplast genome of the European potato, however, was introduced from the Chilean potato, which might have been primarily constructed with the nuclear genome from ssp.andigena and with cytoplasm from other species. Abstract The anaerobic, Gram-positive coccus Staphylococcus aureus ssp. anaerobius and its aerobic mutant MVF-SR, when kept under anaerobic conditions, excreted coproporphyrin (mainly type III) into the medium and enriched uroporphyrin (mainly type I) within the cells.
The rate of porphyrin synthesis stayed practically unaltered when the growth medium was supplemented with 50 μ g/ml 5-aminolevulinic acid (ALA), but was significantly enhanced upon supplementation with hemin (0.5 μ g/ml). When hemin and ALA were given simultaneously, a more than two-fold increase in porphyrin production compared to normal growth medium was observed. These observations indicate a stimulation of porphyrin synthesis in S. aureus by hemin.
An as yet unidentified violet pigment with an intense red-violet fluorescence under UV light ( λ = 366 nm) was found to be present in considerable amounts in cells of S. aureus ssp. anaerobius , whereas the supernatant medium of aerobically grown cells of the mutant MVF-SR contained an equally unidentified blue, non-fluorescing pigment.  相似文献

野生紫斑牡丹和四川牡丹种子萌发特性及与其致濒的关系   总被引:6,自引:0,他引:6  
野生牡丹种子一般较小,而且不同产地之间形状、大小差异较大。其萌发特性与栽培牡丹相比也有较大差异:萌发期长达半年以上,且萌发温度在10~15℃为宜,超过20℃则明显不利于生根及上胚轴生长。四个不同分布地的四川牡丹种子萌发率较一致,均在60~77%之间。三个不同产地的紫斑牡丹种子萌发率则相差甚远,分布于甘肃文县的萌发率达76%,而分布于陕西略阳和湖北神农架的萌发率则分别只有12%和4.4%,出苗率则更低。本文认为紫斑牡丹的种子特性是其在自然界处于濒危状态的重要原因之一。  相似文献

菜心(BrassicacampestrisL.ssp.chinensisvar.utilis)叶子高速捣碎后,滤液经酸碱处理,硫酸铵分步沉淀,凝胶柱层析等步骤分离纯化溶菌酶,酶比活力达3414.6U/mg,纯化倍数为197.4。菜心溶菌酶在较宽的温度或pH值范围均有活性,最适温度为60℃,最适pH值为5.8,底物Km值为87μg/mL。该酶对热和酸碱的稳定性较高,巯基和酪氨酸残基不是该酶活性中心的必需基团。  相似文献
