An efficient and practical scheme to synthesize 2-methoxyestradiol has been developed. The key step was the copper-mediated methoxylation using ethyl acetate as a co-catalyst to introduce a methoxyl group. These synthetic procedures of four steps from 17β-estradiol as starting material gave 2-methoxyestradiol with a 61% overall yield.  相似文献

用甲基磺酸乙酯(EMS)处理芦苇(Phragm itescom m unis Trin.)胚性愈伤组织。从处理后的愈伤组织诱导获得芦苇耐盐变异植株R5002-12。变异植株能在含有1% NaCl的MS培养基上生长。细胞学检查变异植株是混倍体,染色体数目变异范围在100至33 之间。分蘖植株具有相似的形态学及染色体变异特性  相似文献

Seven new mono- and/or dimercurated compounds involving acetylacetone (2,4-pentanedione) or ethyl acetoacetate (3-ethyl ketobutanoate) were synthesized in aqueous medium. In all cases, mercuration occurred at methylene carbon atoms. All compounds were carefully analyzed by solid state carbon-13 nuclear magnetic resonance. Assignments were confirmed by using selective sequences, which allowed a total editing of the spectra. It was shown that deshielding of 13C mercurated sites occurred when the rate of mercuration increased. It was also possible to measure direct 1J(199Hg13C) coupling constants. The main bands of the vibrational spectra (infrared and Raman) were assigned. It was proved that v(C = O) and δ(C(γ)-H) could be directly related to the mercuration rate of molecules.  相似文献

Effects of ethyl N-phenylcarbamate (EPC) on the mating reaction of Saccharomyces cerevisiae were studied, with special attention on the effect on the pheromone action. EPC inhibited zygote formation at a concentration which promoted induction of sexual agglutinability. EPC enhanced agglutinability induction by pheromone, but inhibited -pheromone-induced formation of large pearshaped cells in a mating type. The enhancement of agglutinability induction was accompanied with increased production of a agglutination substance and inhibition of pheromone inactivation. Thimerosal is ethyl mercury based compound which is being used as a preservative in vaccines since decades. Pharmaceutical products and vaccines that contain thimerosal are among the potential source of mercury exposure. Current research was intended to ascertain the reprotoxic effects of thimerosal on rat testes. Twenty-four adult male albino rats were sorted into four groups (n = 6). The first group was a control group. Rats of experimental Group 2, 3 and 4 were treated with various dosages of thimerosal (0.5, 10, 50 mg/kg) respectively. Rats were decapitated after thirty days of trial and different parameters were analyzed. Thimerosal exposure resulted in a significant decrease in antioxidant enzyme activities including catalase (CAT), peroxidase (POD), superoxide dismutase (SOD), glutathione reductase (GSR) and increased levels of thiobarbituric acid reactive substances (TBARS). Different doses of thimerosal significantly decreased (p < 0.05) the concentration of plasma testosterone, luteinizing hormone (LH) and follicle stimulating hormone (FSH). Additionally, Daily sperm production (DSP) and efficiency of daily sperm production were significantly reduced followed by thimerosal exposure. Moreover, thimerosal significantly (p < 0.05) decreased the primary spermatocytes, secondary spermatocytes, number of spermatogonia along with spermatids. Thimerosal induced adverse histopathological and morphological changes in testicular tissues such as decreased Leydig cells, diameter of seminiferous tubules, tunica albuginea height and epithelial height. On the other hand, the increase in tubular lumen and interstitial spaces was observed due to thimerosal. These outcomes indicated that thimerosal has potential reprotoxic effects in male albino rats.  相似文献

The Fn14 and TWEAK are the receptor and ligand respectively and their mutual recognition and binding was reported to induce pathogenesis of cancer and chronic autoimmune diseases. We had identified Fn14 as a novel target of low linear energy transfer (LET) ionizing radiation in mice population. In the present study we generated the novel homology model of human Fn14, optimized its energy and validated for authenticity by checking Ramachandran plot and also by calculating the RMSD. Based on our earlier findings with Hippophae rhamnoides, a group of flavonoids and tannins were screened for their docking potential with Fn14 at the site where its natural ligand TWEAK was binding. The comparative docking analysis showed that the order of docking, from best to least, was Genistein, Rutin, Gallic acid ethyl ester and Quercetin, respectively. The findings predicted the radiomodifying action of flavonoids and tannins. The study has immediate applications in development of non-toxic drugs/ nutraceuticals that may protect human population from harmful effects of radiation in various situations, such as nuclear accidents, occupational exposure, diagnosis or radiotherapy.  相似文献

丙酮酸乙酯是一种重要的医药中间体,在医药、农药、食品、化妆品等领域有广泛的用途。其合成方法和药理作用一直是研究的热点。近年来愈来愈多的文章报道了丙酮酸乙酯的各种合成及工艺方法,一些新的生理活性也不断见诸于文献。本文从丙酮酸乙酯的合成方法及药理作用两方面进行综述,主要介绍了乳酸乙酯氧化法、有机金属试剂法和酯化法三种合成丙酮酸乙酯的方法,并从工艺角度对各种方法的优缺点进行了分析;阐述了其抗氧化、抗炎、抗肿瘤作用的研究进展,并对丙酮酸乙酯的药物应用前景进行了展望,期望能够为丙酮酸乙酯的进一步成药性研究提供思路和启发。  相似文献

Alcoholic patients and experimental animals exposed to ethanol display biochemical signs of oxidative damage, suggesting a possible role of free radicals in causing some of the toxic effects of alcohol. The ester derivative, ethyl pyruvate (EP) is stable in solution and should function as an antioxidant and energy precursor. In the present study, the effect of ethanol intake on plasma membrane fluidity, lipid oxidation and antioxidant enzyme activities (GPx, CAT and SOD) were first evaluated. Secondly, the consequences of ethyl pyruvate treatment on the physico-chemical properties of erythrocyte plasma membranes were investigated. The results obtained demonstrate that ethanol induces an increase in lipid peroxidation, a reduction of GPx activity and fluidity in the hydrophilic-hydrophobic region of the bilayer, moreover an increase of fluidity in hydrophobic part of the plasma membrane was measured. When rats were treated with ethyl pyruvate a partially protective effect can be observed for the hydrophilic-hydrophobic region tested by Laurdan, while EP cannot restore the DPH anisotropy values to the control values. In summary, our data indicate that treatment with EP can only partially reduce ethanol plasma membrane perturbation. Since this study shows an ethyl pyruvate dose-dependent effect, it is important to consider the amount of EP required to maintain the right level of membrane fluidity and polarity. These results could be interesting in order to investigate if EP, due to its radical scavenging effect, can prevent oxidative damage induced by ethanol intake and can protect against injure related with ethanol intake.  相似文献

An efficient method for palladium-catalyzed CO cross-coupling of ethyl acetohydroxamate (EAcHO) with 4-bromo-chalcones has been developed to synthesize novel chalcones. The two supporting ligands, namely tBuXPhos (L7), and cataCXium®PIntB (L16) were found to be effective ligands towards the Pd-catalyzed CO cross-coupling reaction to afford the desired product in moderate to excellent yields (50–99%). The coupled products were screened for in vitro blood stage antiplasmodial activity against Plasmodium falciparum (3D7) using the [3H] hypoxanthine incorporation inhibition assay. Of the twenty two compounds screened, eleven showed good antiplasmodial activity with IC50 values ranging from 6–16 μg/mL. The selected active molecules 11, 16, 22, (IC50 12 μg/mL) and 19 (IC50 6 μg/mL) were studied for their cytotoxic effect against HepG2 Cells (human hepatocellular liver carcinoma cell lines), showing the selectivity index (SI) values are greater than 4 except chalcone 22. Our result demonstrates a methodology for synthesizing novel chalcones as a new class of antiplasmodial agent.  相似文献
