本文讨论了菊科植物上盘霜霉属Bremia的分类问题。根据专性寄生菌种的划分,在以形态特征为基础的同时,结合考虑寄生专化性或寄主范围的观点,我们提出菊科植物上Bremia的种的寄主限制在菊科“族”的范围内。对中国的菊科植物上Bremia属的已知种及变种列出了检索表,还报告了一个新种及一新组合,它们是兔苣盘霜霉(B.lagoseridis sp.nov.),寄生于兔苣(Lagoseris sanctae),和蓟盘霜霉(B.cirsii comb.nov.),寄生于蓟属(Cirsium spp.),标本保存于四川农业大学真菌实验室及中国科学院微生物所标本室。  相似文献

Three ways of measuring race non-specific resistance to Bremia lactucae in lettuce were studied to determine the most important components of this form of resistance. Tests were conducted on leaf discs from 4–6 wk-old plants that were quantitatively inoculated and incubated under controlled conditions. Observations were made of disease intensity, latent period and production of conidia. Inoculum concentration markedly influenced disease intensity and latent period. Cv. Iceberg exhibited race non-specific resistance and this was characterised by a longer latent period, a lower disease intensity and reduced production of conidia compared to the susceptible control cv. Cobham Green. On older, intact plants, the differences in latent period and disease intensity between cultivars were even greater. Production of conidia was a particularly good criterion for discriminating levels of resistance.  相似文献

Host‐induced gene silencing (HIGS) is an RNA interference‐based approach in which small interfering RNAs (siRNAs) are produced in the host plant and subsequently move into the pathogen to silence pathogen genes. As a proof‐of‐concept, we generated stable transgenic lettuce plants expressing siRNAs targeting potentially vital genes of Bremia lactucae, a biotrophic oomycete that causes downy mildew, the most important disease of lettuce worldwide. Transgenic plants, expressing inverted repeats of fragments of either the Highly Abundant Message #34 (HAM34) or Cellulose Synthase (CES1) genes of B. lactucae, specifically suppressed expression of these genes, resulting in greatly reduced growth and inhibition of sporulation of B. lactucae. This demonstrates that HIGS can provide effective control of B. lactucae in lettuce; such control does not rely on ephemeral resistance conferred by major resistance genes and therefore offers new opportunities for durable control of diverse diseases in numerous crops.  相似文献

Genome size was determined, by nuclear Feulgen staining and image analysis, in 46 accessions of 31 species of Peronosporales (Oomycota), including important plant pathogens such asBremia lactucae, Plasmopara viticola, Pseudoperonospora cubensis,andPseudoperonospora humuli.The 1C DNA contents ranged from 0.046 (45.6 Mb) to 0.163 pg (159.9 Mb). This is 0.041- to 0.144-fold that ofGlycine max(soybean, 1C = 1.134 pg), which was used as an internal standard for genome size determination. The linearity of Feulgen absorbance photometry method over this range was demonstrated by calibration ofAspergillusspecies (1C = 31–38 Mb) againstGlycine,which revealed differences of less than 6% compared to the published CHEF data. The low coefficients of variation (usually between 5 and 10%), repeatability of the results, and compatibility with CHEF data prove the resolution power of Feulgen image analysis. The applicability and limitations of Feulgen photometry are discussed in relation to other methods of genome size determination (CHEF gel electrophoresis, reassociation kinetics, genomic reconstruction) that have been previously applied to Oomycota.  相似文献

Lettuce Fusarium wilt, caused by Fusarium oxysporum f. sp. lactucae, represents a major problem in most lettuce production areas worldwide. In the present study, a number of resistance inducers, organic amendments and biocontrol agents were applied in a preventative way, in experimental and commercial situations, to soils artificially or naturally infested with race 1 of the pathogen, and to moderately susceptible lettuce cultivars. Potassium phosphite, acibenzolar‐S‐methyl, green composts, and Bacillus subtilis Qst713, Trichoderma asperellum + Trichoderma gamsii, and Pseudomonas strains achieved the most consistent disease control under the experimental conditions. Moreover, potassium phosphite, green compost, B. subtilis Qst713 and T. asperellum + T. gamsii, also showed a positive effect on plant development. In general, the results of the different treatments in naturally infested soil were similar to those observed in glasshouse trials under artificial inoculation. Potassium phosphite provided a consistent disease reduction (48%–62% in artificially infested soil and 60%–75% in naturally infested soil). The effects of adding 10% compost to a peat growing medium in the nursery, followed by a soil mixing application when lettuce was transplanted, significantly reduced the severity of Fusarium wilt (50%–59% efficacy) and increased fresh biomass production. Compost enrichment with Trichoderma TW2 generally further increased its efficacy. When tested under field conditions, the commercially available Trichoderma spp. and B. subtilis, together with experimental strains of Pseudomonas and Trichoderma spp., applied at the nursery level, provided a disease reduction of 30%–78%. Early application of the different control measures under nursery conditions and at lettuce transplant is noteworthy because it was carried out at a more localized level, with reduced amounts of products. Their use in practice should be integrated with other control strategies.  相似文献
