Glucosidation of the new 8‐amino‐6‐benzyl(or substituted benzyl)‐2,8‐dihydro‐1,2,4‐triazolo[4,3‐b][1,2,4]triazin‐7(3H)‐ones (3a–d) with 2,3,4,6‐tetra‐O‐acetyl‐α‐d‐glucopyranosyl bromide 4 gave the corresponding N‐glucosides 5a–d. Chemical transformations leading to new functionalities have also been achieved to give compounds 7–12. Antimicrobial activity of compounds 5a–c against Aspergillus fumigatus, Penicillium italicum, Syncephalastrum racemosum, Candida albicans, Staphylococcus aureus, Pseudomonas aeruginosa, Bacillus subtilis, Escherichia coli is described.  相似文献

Satoshi ōmura, Professor Emeritus at Kitasato University, was awarded the Nobel Prize for his discovery of a substance of tremendous value to mankind from a microorganism. As a researcher who regularly deals with enzymes produced by microorganisms and a person engaged in microorganism-based business, Professor ōmura’s Nobel Prize fills me with great pride and joy. It is perhaps not surprising that this Nobel Prize-winning research would emerge from Asia, specifically Japan, where people live in harmony with nature rather than try to conquer it. At Amano Enzyme Inc., we devote ourselves to searching for novel enzymes from microorganisms. While incorporating my own experiences, I will recount the stories of a few discoveries of valuable enzyme-producing microbes in soil and bacterial strain libraries. I will also briefly introduce microbial strain library construction as a tool for facilitating the identification of the desired producing bacteria.  相似文献

Sheath blight disease caused by Rhizoctonia solani Kuhn is becoming a major constraint to rice production, especially in the intensified cultivation system. To know the in rice, it is important to get the knowledge of the activity of defence-related enzymes due to the fungal infection. The pathogen induced superoxide dismutase (SOD) and chitinase activities in rice plants, while suppressing peroxidase (POD) and phenylalanine ammonia-lyase (PAL) activities at 36 and 24 h after inoculation, respectively. Induction of two POD isozymes, POD-3 and -4, up to 48 h after inoculation and disappearance of the said isomers at 72 h onwards in rice–Rhizoctonia interaction implicated the role of these isomers in susceptible host–pathogen interaction. Apart from POD and SOD, the activities of other stress-related enzymes, viz. PAL, polyphenol oxidase (PPO) and β-1,3-glucanase were also studied. From this study, it was found that these defence-related enzymes are most significantly related to host–pathogenic interaction.  相似文献

The carotenol fatty acid esters of two potentially valuable sources of plant carotenoids, sepals of Physalis alkekengi (Chinese lantern) and fruits of Hippophae rhamnoides (sea buckthorn), were separated by column chromatography and identified by HPLC-DAD and HPLC-MS. A chemical and an enzymatic hydrolysis were employed to identify the parent carotenoids and to remove the lipid components. Zeaxanthin and beta-cryptoxanthin esters represented the main fraction in P. alkekengi sepals and an important one in H. rhamnoides fruits. Beta-Cryptoxanthin palmitate and zeaxanthin dipalmitate were identified as major compounds in both plants. In P. alkekengi, the carotenoids were mainly (> 90%) esterified with palmitic acid, and a high proportion (> 80%) of saturated medium chain fatty acids was found (by GC-MS) in the total lipid extract. Although the total lipid extract of H. rhamnoides contained significant amounts of unsaturated fatty acids, especially oleic and palmitoleic acids, the xanthophylls were mainly esterified with saturated fatty acids. The oleoresins of both species represent potential sources of carotenoid esters and can be used as food additives, cosmetic ingredients or nutraceuticals.  相似文献

A Canalco Model CF-3 Electrophoretic Filter/Concentrator (modified ter Bier) was used to concentrate Type 1 polio virus from water using ectro-osmotic and forced-flow electrophoretic principles. Using2 ectro-osmosis water can be removed at a rate of up to 0.8 ral/hr/cm membrane area. Under conditions of 12–14 V/cm (5–6 amps) and adjusted mping rates, 20 fold concentration, without virus loss, can be achieved. ring forced-flow electrophoresis, the virus, which is negatively charged an alkaline buffer, moves toward the positive pole. At 20 V/cm and th adjusted pumping rates, the best that could be achieved was a 3 fold ncentration of virus and a 10 fold dehydration. Virus spill-over at e cathode and/or virus adsorption at the anode accounted for the poor suits, but theoretically this can be overcome by adjustment of the V/cm upled with adjustment of the pumping rates. Voltage (30 V/cm) and rrent (6 amps) have no detrimental effects on viral stability. These chniques appear to be more rapid and gentle than other methods for ncentration of virus and could be scaled up for practical use.  相似文献

In this paper, we are looking for mathematical modeling of mouse embryonic melanoblast proliferation dynamics, taking into account, the expression level of β‐catenin. This protein plays an important role into the whole signal pathway process. Different assumptions on some unobservable features lead to different candidate models. From real data measured, from biological experiments and from a priori biological knowledge, it was able to validate or invalidate some of the candidate models. Data assimilation and parameter identification allowed us to derive a mathematical model that is in very good agreement with biological data. As a result, the produced model can give tracks for biologists into their biological investigations and experimental evidence. Another interest is the use of this model for robust hidden parameter identification like double times or number of founder melanoblasts.  相似文献
