Coronary arterial stenoses, particularly serial stenoses in a single branch, are responsible for complex hemodynamic properties of the coronary arterial trees, and the uncertain prognosis of invasive intervention. Critical information of the blood flow redistribution in the stenotic arterial segments is required for the adequate treatment planning. Therefore, in this study, an image based non-invasive functional assessment is performed to investigate the hemodynamic significances of serial stenoses. Twenty patient-specific coronary arterial trees with different combinations of stenoses were reconstructed from the computer tomography angiography for the evaluation of the hemodynamics. Our results showed that the computed FFR based on CTA images (FFRCT) pullback curves with wall shear stress (WSS) distribution could provide more effectively examine the physiological significance of the locations of the segmental narrowing and the curvature of the coronary arterial segments. The paper thus provides the diagnostic efficacy of FFRCT pullback curve for noninvasive quantification of the hemodynamics of stenotic coronary arteries with serial lesions, compared to the gold standard invasive FFR, to provide a reliable physiological assessment of significant amount of coronary artery stenosis. Further, we were also able to demonstrate the potential of carrying out virtual revascularization, to enable more precise PCI procedures and improve their outcomes. 相似文献

Intravascular Ultrasound (IVUS) is one ultrasonic imaging technology to acquire vascular cross-sectional images for the visualization of the inner vessel structure. This technique has been widely used for the diagnosis and treatment of coronary artery diseases. The detection of the calcified plaque with acoustic shadowing in IVUS images plays a vital role in the quantitative analysis of atheromatous plaques. The conventional method of the calcium detection is manual drawing by the doctors. However, it is very time-consuming, and with high inter-observer and intra-observer variability between different doctors. Therefore, the computer-aided detection of the calcified plaque is highly desired. In this paper, an automated method is proposed to detect the calcified plaque with acoustic shadowing in IVUS images by the Rayleigh mixture model, the Markov random field, the graph searching method and the prior knowledge about the calcified plaque. The performance of our method was evaluated over 996 in-vivo IVUS images acquired from eight patients, and the detected calcified plaques are compared with manually detected calcified plaques by one cardiology doctor. The experimental results are quantitatively analyzed separately by three evaluation methods, the test of the sensitivity and specificity, the linear regression and the Bland-Altman analysis. The first method is used to evaluate the ability to distinguish between IVUS images with and without the calcified plaque, and the latter two methods can respectively measure the correlation and the agreement between our results and manual drawing results for locating the calcified plaque in the IVUS image. High sensitivity (94.68%) and specificity (95.82%), good correlation and agreement (>96.82% results fall within the 95% confidence interval in the Student t-test) demonstrate the effectiveness of the proposed method in the detection of the calcified plaque with acoustic shadowing in IVUS images. 相似文献

It is well known that Notch signaling plays either oncogenic or tumor suppressive role in a variety of tumors, depending on the cellular context. However, in our previous study, we found that Notch1 was overexpressed while Notch2 downregulated in the majority of astrocytic gliomas with different grades as well as in glioblastoma cell lines U251 and A172. We had knocked down Notch1 by siRNA in glioblastoma cells, and identified that the cell growth and invasion were inhibited, whereas cell apoptosis was induced either in vitro or in vivo. For further clarification of the role of Notch2 in pathogenesis of gliomas, enforced overexpression of Notch2 was carried out with transfection of Notch2 expression plasmid in glioma cells and the cell growth, invasion and apoptosis were examined in vitro and in vivo in the present study, and siRNA targeting Notch1 was used as a positive control in vivo. The results showed that upregulating Notch2 had the effect of suppressing cell growth and invasion as well as inducing apoptosis, just the same as the results of knocking down Notch1. Meanwhile, the activity of core signaling pathway–EGFR/PI3K/AKT in astrocytic glioma cells was repressed. Thus, the present study reveals, for the first time, that Notch1 and Notch2 play different roles in the biological processes of astrocytic gliomas. Knocking down the Notch1 or enforced overexpression of Notch2 both modulate the astrocytic glioma phenotype, and the mechanism by which Notch1 and 2 play different roles in the glioma growth should be further investigated. 相似文献

从大鼠自然诱发的肉瘤细胞中,我们建立了一个四倍体细胞系(4n=84),命名为RC(ratcell)。它具有典型的成纤维细胞外形,能在玻璃表面贴壁生长,但不能生长在琼脂半固体培养基中。该细胞在含15%小牛血清的RPMI 1640培养基中生长良好,至今已连续繁殖112世代,细胞群体倍增时间约为15小时。染色体G-带分析表明,RC为整四倍体细胞,它的1条X染色体在第32至34区为均染区。RC细胞核仁组织者(NORs)活性显然比大鼠二倍体细胞NORs活性的加倍还高(P<0.001)。这个具有非常高NORs活性的RC细胞系对于研究细胞18S+28S rRNA基因转录活性的调控、基因表达与基因剂量关系有一定的意义。RC细胞还有异常高的磷酸酯酶活性,而且它的同工酶谱也与大鼠肌肉细胞明显不同。体内接种实验和扫描电镜的观察表明,RC是非致瘤细胞。RC细胞各号染色体的C-带图样与大鼠二倍体细胞无明显的差异。 相似文献

The fine structure of the salivary sheaths in plant tissues can provide important information on homopteran probing and ingestion behaviors. Salivary sheaths secreted by the brown planthopper (BPH), Nilaparvata lugens (Stål) (Homoptera: Delphacidae), and their tissue pathway were investigated using light, scanning electron, and transmission electron microscopy. About half of the salivary flanges on the surface of the food substrate were connected with internal salivary sheaths. Only 43% of the salivary sheaths showed side branches. Many sculpture‐like protuberances and small cavities had been formed on the outer surface of the salivary sheath, but the sheath lumen circumferences were sealed. Brown planthoppers showed a preference for probing and leaving salivary sheaths in the susceptible rice variety TN1 rather than in the resistant variety B5 during the first 2 days of the experiments. The salivary sheaths in rice tissues reached the inner tissue layer of the leaf sheaths and stems, but were mostly observed to end in the first and second layer of the leaf sheaths. Brown planthoppers also preferred to probe into the thick segment of the outer leaf sheath. After ingestion by the insect, the cytoplasm in both phloem and companion cells degraded and the main organelles were lost. Numerous small vesicles were found in most of the phloem cells, but cell walls remained intact. Large numbers of symbiont‐like structures were observed inside the salivary sheath lumen. These results indicated that BPH has complicated feeding behaviors, which warrants further investigation. 相似文献

对我国盐碱土壤中丛枝菌根(Arbuscular Mycorrhiza,AM) 菌的种属构成、生态分布状况进行了研究.结果表明,不同地区AM 菌种属构成不同,其种属组成、分布与土壤类型、碱化度和土壤有机质含量有关.盐渍化砂土、壤土和粘土中,Glomus 属的真菌数量最多,Acaulospora 属次之,而Glomus 属中的G.mosseae 则是分布最为广泛的菌种.随土壤碱化度的增加,Glomus mosseae 出现频率随之相对增加.在一定范围内有机质含量越高,土壤中AM 菌种和属的种类就越多.AM 菌的种属组成因不同寄主植物而异,其中豆科植物根围中AM 菌分布的种属数量最多. 相似文献
