In this paper the recent population changes of the Wild Boar in different European countries is analysed through the study of hunting statistics. A simultaneous increase in numbers is observed throughout the whole area during the period 1965–1975. From 1975 onwards the population stabilizes itself apart from in peripheral areas like Finland. Potentially favourable factors which play a part in this process are discussed and certain reproductive and dispersive characteristics which favour its invasive behaviour are discussed.  相似文献

By synthetic sorbent chromatography the influence of Bacillus subtilis R-623 morphology on the qualitative and quantitative composition of alpha-amylase and proteases was studied. It was found that morphological variants of natural variability of Bac. subtilis R-623, alpha-amylase producer, differed in their cultural, morphological and physiological properties as well as in the amount of hydrolytic enzymes synthesized per unit of the cultural medium. Cells of P variant produced the highest quantity of alpha-amylase (314 U/lm) and cells of P and M variants synthesized the greatest amount of proteases (4.3 and 4.0 U/ml, respectively). Quantitative variations of alpha-amylase and proteases were measured in the cultural medium of morphological variants of Bac. subtilis R-623 during cultivation. Qualitative composition of those enzymes was determined when their content in the cultural medium was at the highest level. R variant synthesized alpha-amylase and protease, P and S variants alpha-amylase and two proteases, and P and S variants alpha-amylase and two proteases, and M variant one protease.  相似文献

The distribution of monoamine oxidase activity in the rabbit hippocampus was studied by quantitative histochemical analysis. The presence of monoamine oxidase activity was found in str. lacunosum-moleculare of areas CA1 and CA2 of the hippocampus and in str. moleculare of the dentate fascia. A strong positive reaction was found in layers containing many myelinated fibers (the alveus and Shaffer's collaterals). However, when the reaction was carried out without substrate, considerable deposition of diformazan was observed in these layers. These observations and the ability of myelin to reduce nitro-BT spontaneously, described in the literature, suggest that the positive Glenner's reaction in the alveus and Shaffer's collaterals is not specific. The deposition of diformazan in the layer of pyramidal and granular neurons likewise is nonspecific, as is confirmed by the results of experiments with preincubation in iproniazid and with incubation without substrate.Institute of Biological Physics, Academy of Sciences of the USSR, Pushchino-on-Oka. The time course of changes in the dopamine concentration in dopaminergic neurons of the nigro-neostriatal and mesolimbic systems of the rat brain during 1 h after intraperitoneal injection of -phenylethylamine (100 mg/kg) was studied by quantitative fluorescence-histochemical analysis. The results showed that -phenylethylamine causes a marked fall in the dopamine level in neurons of dopaminergic systems of the brain. The dopamine level in the bodies of dopaminergic neurons changes more than in their axon terminals. The fall in the dopamine concentration in the dopaminergic systems of the brain during the first hour is irregular in character: in the terminals between 10 and 30 min and in the bodies between 30 and 45 min there is actually a temporary increase in the dopamine concentration. The rise in the dopamine concentration in the terminals coincides with a sharp fall in the dopamine level in the neuron bodies, and conversely, the fall in the dopamine concentration in the terminals after 30 min is accompanied by some increase in the dopamine concentration in the neuron bodies. The results suggest that the increase in motor activity described in the literature in animals after injection of -phenylethylamine is connected with its action on catecholaminergic, especially dopaminergic, brain systems.Institute of Biophysics, Academy of Sciences of the USSR, Pushchino-on-Oka. The effect of gramicidin C added to the medium at various periods of cultivation in concentrations of 20, 40 and 100 gamma/ml on sporulation of P+-variant of Bac. brevis var. GB was studied. The most effective increase in the sporulation rate and percentage of the cells germinating into the spores was observed on addition of the antibiotic to the medium in amounts of 20 and 40 gamma/ml in 13 hours of the culture development. The amount of gramicidin C during sporulation decreased and partially passed into the spores which did not differ after germination from those of P+-variant grown on the synthetic medium with glucose and without preliminary addition of the antibiotic. Addition of gramicidin C in an amount of 100 gamma/ml at the end of the lag phase, i.e. 4 hours after the culture inoculation suppressed sporulation and had no effect on growth of the cells of its own producing organism.  相似文献

Adaptive responses of some gill ectoparasites of the common bream Abramus brama and the white bream Blicca bjoerkna have been studied in five zones of the Ivan'kovo Reservoir: in the region of favorable ecological conditions, in two eutrophic zones and in two areas under the toxic loading. It is found out, that at the response to the pollution the infestation of fishes with most parasite species decreases. The replacement of dominant species is also can be considered as the adaptive response of parasites. It is recorded, that each examined zone with a specific ecological conditions obtains a specific parasite species grouping with a certain composition and abundance of parasite species. The monogeneans of the genus Dactylogyrus express their adaptation to increased temperature by decrease of chitinoid structure size in attachment disc, while the copepods Ergasilus sieboldi react to this factor by faster maturation of egg sacks.  相似文献
