σ-Methyl-(η5-indenyl) chromium tricarbonyl (III) rearranges quantitatively into η6-1-endo-methylindene) chromium tricarbonyl (IV) in C6D6 solution at 30–60°C. Methyl group attachment to the positions 2 or 3 of indenyl ligand in (III) has no influence on the activation parameters of this ricochet inter-ring haptotropic rearrangement (ΔG#=23.6 kcal mol−1; ΔH#=18.9±0.2 kcal mol−1; ΔS#=−18.6±0.2 cal K−1 mol−1). (IV) undergoes further irreversible isomerization at 60–120° into (ν6-3-methylindene) chromium tricarbonyl (V) with a higher activation barrier (ΔG#=28.5±0.1 kcal mol−1) via two consecutive [1,5]-sigmatropic hydrogen shifts. The mechanisms of both rearrangements have been studied in detail using density functional theory (DFT) calculations with extended basis sets. Calculations show that the rearrangement (III) → (IV) proceeds in two steps. Methyl group migration from chromium into position 1 of the indenyl ligand is the rate-determining step leading to the formation of the 16-electron intermediate (VII). The calculated activation barrier (Ea=19.6 kcal mol−1) is in good agreement with the experimental one. Further rearrangement (VII) → (V) proceeds via a trimethylenemethane-type transition state (XVIII) with an activation barrier 11.8 kcal mol−1. The coordination of the chromium tricarbonyl group at the six-membered ring has only minor influence on the kinetic parameters of the hydrogen [1,5]-sigmatropic shift in indene.  相似文献

New polydentate open structure ligands H3L1 and H3L2 were synthesized by the condensation of 2,6-diformyl-4-tert-butylphenol and corresponding N-R-o-phenylenediamines (R = Ac and R = Boc). Treating of the ligands with copper trimethylacetate leads to binuclear copper complexes with dissimilar Cu2O2 cores, the structures of which were solved by X-ray diffraction analysis. The electrochemical properties of both complexes were studied; the observed redox transitions were assigned to specific redox-active sites of the molecule. These assignments were confirmed by DFT calculations of the electronic structure of binuclear complexes. Both complexes exhibit antiferromagnetic behaviour, as confirmed by variable-temperature magnetic studies.  相似文献

Seven aliphatic and two aromatic alcohols were tested as reporters of the substrate selectivity of the aminopeptidase from Aeromonas proteolytica (AAP). This series of alcohols was chosen to systematically probe the effect of carbon chain length, steric bulk, and inhibitor shape on the inhibition of AAP. Initially, however, the question of whether AAP is denatured in the presence of aliphatic alcohols was addressed. On the basis of circular dichroism (CD), electronic absorption, and fluorescence spectra, the secondary structure of AAP, with and without added aliphatic alcohols, was unchanged. These data clearly indicate that AAP is not denatured in aliphatic alcohols, even up to concentrations of 20% (v/v). All of the alcohols studied were competitive inhibitors of AAP with K(i) values between 860 and 0.98 mM. The clear trend in the data was that as the carbon chain length increases from one to four, the K(i) values increase. Branching of the carbon chains also increases the K(i) values, but large bulky groups, such as that found in tert-butyl alcohol, do not inhibit AAP as well as leucine analogues, such as 3-methyl-1-butanol. The competitive nature of the inhibition indicates that the substrate and each alcohol studied are mutually exclusive due to binding at the same site on the enzyme. On the basis of EPR and electronic absorption data for Co(II)-substituted AAP, none of the alcohols studied binds to the dinuclear metallo-active site of AAP. Thus, reaction of the inhibitory alcohols with the catalytic metal ions cannot constitute the mechanism of inhibition. Combination of these data suggests that each of these inhibitors bind only to the hydrophobic pocket of AAP and, consequently, block the binding of substrate. Thus, the first step in peptide hydrolysis is the recognition of the N-terminal amino acid side chain by the hydrophobic pocket adjacent to the dinuclear active site of AAP.  相似文献

The reaction of RuCl3(H2O), with C5Me4CF3J in refluxing EtOH gives [Ru25-C5Me1CF2)2 (μ-Cl2] (20 in 44% yield. Dimer 2 antiferromagnetic (−2J=200 cm1). The crystal structures of 2 (rhombohedral system, R3 space group, Z=9, R=0.0589) and [Rh25-C5Me4CF3(2Cl2(μ-Cl)2] (3) (rhombohedral system. space group, Z = 9, R = 0.0641) were solved; both complexes have dimeric structures with a trans arrangement of the η5-C5Me4CF4 rings. Comparison of the geometry of 2 and 3 with those of the corresponding η5-C5Me5 complexes shows that lowering the ring symmetry causes significant distortion of the M2(μ-Cl)2 moiety. The analysis of the MCl3 fragment conformations in 2 and 3 and in the η5-C5ME5 analogues shows that they are correlated with the M---M distances. The Cl atoms are displaced by Br on reaction of 2 with KBr in MeOH to give the diamagnetic dimer [Ru25-C5Me4CF3)2Br2 (μ-Br2] (4). Complex 2 reacts with O2 in CH2Cl2 solution at ambient temperature to form a mixture of isomeric η6-fulvene dimers [Ru26-C5Me3CF3 = CH2)2Cl2(μ-Cl)2] (5). Reactions of 5 with CO and allyl chloride give Ru(η5-C5Me3CF3CH2Cl)(CO)2Cl (6) and Ru(η5-C5Me3CF3CF3CH2Cl)(η3-C3H5)Cl2 (7) respectively.  相似文献
