The aim of the study was to estimate efficiency of the strength training protocol designed to improve maximal voluntary contraction without development of muscle hypertrophy. The principal difference between chosen training protocol and classical strength training was that the number of training movements during training session was increased to improve the motor skill, and rest periods between the training movements were increased as well to minimize damage of muscle fibers, which is one of the factors inducing muscle hypertrophy. Knee extensors of right leg in 11 physically active males were trained 4 times a week for 4 weeks. Evaluation of force-velocity characteristics with simultaneous recording of EMG-activity was performed in both trained and untrained legs immediately before, during and several times after the 4 wks training period. Before and after training the size and contractile properties ofipsi- and contralateral knee extensors were evaluated by MRI and twitch interpolation technique. Maximum strength gains after 4 week of training were about 17% in both trained and untrained legs and did not differ significantly from each other. A noticeable increase of EMG-activity during contraction was also found for both legs after 4-wks training period. The observed changes were not accompanied by any significant changes of muscle size, demonstrating the "neural" nature of the training effects. 相似文献

Different species of Rhizobium were successfully introduced into the extracellular slime of Nostoc paludosum (Kütz) Elenk, strain 18; cyanobacteria did not eliminate them and exhibited no specificity to the introduced species. Both partners were shown to exist in a self-sufficient manner in an artificial consortium, the stability of which is determined by the technology of growing the cultures in collections. Cyanobacteria act as carriers of introduced satellites, providing contact with the inoculated material through the slime, and increase the nitrogen-fixing ability of legume plants due to the increase of the number and activity of nodules. The fact of penetration of cyanobacterial hormogonia into the nodules has been noted. The treatment of seeds by the consortium resulted in an increase of the harvest as compared with the standard methods of nitragin treatment of legumes. 相似文献

Using data on long-term dynamics of epidemic process of acute enteric infections enteric with aqueous route of transmission (typhoid fever, shigellosis caused by Shigella flexneri, hepatitis A, rotavirus gastroenteritis, etc.)the equation of regression was developed with the help of Chebyshev's polynoms. Predicted incidences of these infections for 2005 were on 61.2-99.5% in agree with the real ones on two territories of north region of West Siberia. Predicted incidence for 2006 is reflecting tendencies of epidemic process of mentioned infections. 相似文献
