The luminescence of novel rare earth ( Tb 3 + , Eu 3 + and Dy 3 + )‐activated Ba 2 Sr 2 Al 2 O 7 phosphors for solid‐state lighting is presented. The aluminate phosphors were synthesized using a one‐step combustion method. X‐Ray diffraction, scanning electron microscopy and photoluminescence characterizations were performed to understand the mechanism of excitation and the corresponding emission in the as‐prepared phosphor, as characterized the phase purity and microstructure. Improvements in the luminescence properties of the phosphors with rare earth concentration were observed. The phosphor hue could be tuned from blue, green and red by proper selection of rare earth ions in typical concentrations. Effective absorption in the near‐ultraviolet region was observed, which makes the phosphor a potential candidate for ultraviolet light‐emitting diodes. Paramonorcheides selaris n. sp. is described from the intestine of the carangid fish Selar crumenophthalmus (Bloch) off the Visakhapatnam coast, Bay of Bengal. It is closest to the Australian species P. pseudocaranxi Dove & Cribb, 1998, but differs in its shorter cirrus-sac extending only to the level of the ovary rather than to the level of the testes, in lacking eye-spot pigment and in details of the armature of the terminal genitalia. P. pseudocaranxi of Machida (2005) is regarded as identical to the new species. The validity of Allobacciger Hafeezullah & Siddiqi, 1970, as distinct from Monorcheides Odhner, 1905, is discussed. A key to the six species of Paramonorcheides Yamaguti, 1938 is presented.  相似文献

Bacteria-mediated plant growth promotion is a well-established and complex phenomenon that is often achieved by the activities of more than one plant growth-promoting (PGP) trait, which may not always be present in a single organism. Biofilms developed using a combination of two organisms with useful plant growth-promoting rhizobacteria (PGPR) traits may provide a definite advantage. In this context, in vitro studies were conducted evaluating the PGP traits of novel biofilms developed using Trichoderma as matrix and agriculturally important bacteria (Azotobacter chroococcum, Pseudomonas fluorescens and Bacillus subtilis) as partners. Such biofilms exhibited higher values for various biochemical attributes as compared to the individual organisms and dual cultures. TrichodermaBacillus and TrichodermaPseudomonas biofilms exhibited enhanced antifungal activity, ammonia, indole acetic acid (IAA) and siderophore production, as compared to the other treatments. TrichodermaAzotobacter biofilm recorded the highest nitrogenase activity and 1-aminocyclopropane-1-carboxylic (ACC) deaminase activity. The synergism in terms of the PGP traits in the biofilms revealed their promise as superior PGP inoculants.  相似文献

Brassica juncea annexin-3 (BjAnn3) was functionally characterized for its ability to modulate H2O2-mediated oxidative stress in Saccharomyces cerevisiae. BjAnn3 showed a significant protective role in cellular-defense against oxidative stress and partially alleviated inhibition of mitochondrial respiration in presence of exogenously applied H2O2. Heterologous expression of BjAnn3 protected membranes from oxidative stress-mediated damage and positively regulated antioxidant gene expression for ROS detoxification. We conclude that, BjAnn3 partially counteracts the effects of thioredoxin peroxidase 1 (TSA1) deficiency and aids in cellular-protection across kingdoms. Despite partial compensation of TSA1 by BjAnn3 in cell-viability tests, the over-complementation in ROS-related features suggests the existence of both redundant (e.g. ROS detoxification) and distinct features (e.g. membrane protection versus proximity-based redox regulator) of both proteins.  相似文献

Biofilms represent mixed communities present in a diverse range of environments; however, their utility as inoculants is less investigated. Our investigation was aimed towards in vitro development of biofilms using fungal mycelia (Trichoderma viride) as matrices and nitrogen-fixing and P-solubilizing bacteria as partners, as a prelude to their use as biofertilizers (biofilmed biofertilizers, BBs) and biocontrol agents for different crops. The most suitable media in terms of population counts, fresh mass and dry biomass for Trichoderma and Bacillus subtilis/Pseudomonas fluorescens was found to be Pikovskaya broth ± 1 % CaCO3, while for Trichoderma and Azotobacter chroococcum, Jensen’s medium was most optimal. The respective media were then used for optimization of the inoculation rate of the partners in terms of sequence of addition of partners, fresh/dry mass of biofilms and population counts of partners for efficient film formation. Microscopic observations revealed significant differences in the progress of growth of biofilms and dual cultures. In the biofilms, the bacteria were observed growing intermingled within the fungal mycelia mat. Further, biofilm formation was compared under static and shaking conditions and the fresh mass of biofilms was higher in the former. Such biofilms are being further characterized under in vitro conditions, before using them as inoculants with crops.  相似文献

A series of single‐phase phosphors based on Na6Mg(SO4)4 (Zeff = 11.70) doped with Dy and Eu was prepared by the wet chemical method. The photoluminescence (PL) and thermoluminescence (TL) properties of Dy3+‐ and Eu3+‐activated Na6Mg(SO4)4 phosphors were investigated. The characteristic emissions of Dy3+ and Eu3+ were observed in the Na6Mg(SO4)4 host. The TL glow curve of the Na6Mg(SO4)4:Dy phosphor consisted of a prominent peak at 234°C and a very small hump at 158°C. The TL sensitivity of the Na6Mg(SO4)4:Dy phosphor was found to be four times less than the commercialized CaSO4:Dy phosphor. The TL dose–response of the Na6Mg(SO4)4:Dy phosphor was studied from a dose range of 5–10 kGy and the linear dose–response was observed up to 1 kGy which is good for a microcrystalline phosphor. Trapping parameters for both the samples were calculated using the Initial Rise and Chen's peak shape methods.  相似文献

RNA has attracted recent attention for its key role in gene expression and hence targeting by small molecules for therapeutic intervention. This study is aimed to elucidate the specificity of RNA binding affinity of parent compound of N-arylhydroxamic acids series, N-phenylbenzohydroxamic acid trivially named as PBHA,C6H5NOH.C6H5C ? O. The binding behavior was examined by various biophysical methods such as absorption, fluorescence, and viscosity measurements. Molecular docking was also done. The value of affinity constant and overall binding constant was calculated 5.79 ± 0.03 × 104 M?1 and K’ = 1.09 ± 0.03 × 105 M?1, respectively. The Stern-Volmer constant Ksv obtained was 2.28 ± 0.04 × 104 M?1. The compound (PBHA) shows a concentration-based enhancement of fluorescence intensity with increasing RNA concentration. Fluorescence quenching of PBHA–RNA complex in presence of K4 [Fe(CN)6] was also observed. Viscometric studies complimented the UV results where a continuous increase in relative viscosity of the RNA solution was observed with added optimal PBHA concentration. All the experimental evidences indicate that PBHA can strongly bind to RNA through an intercalative mode.  相似文献

PTEN, a tumor suppressor protein, gets deactivated by casein kinase 2 (CK2) and glycogen synthase kinase 3β (GSK3β), which are the major causes of PI3K/AKT-driven tumors. To surmount this problem, the multi-target inhibitor strategy may be of great significance. The goal of this study was to design dual-target inhibitors of CK2 and GSK3β using a combination of pharmacophore modeling and molecular docking studies. The common feature-based (qualitative) and 3DQSAR-based (quantitative) pharmacophore models were generated and validated. The best pharmacophore models (Pharm18 and Hypo1) comprised two hydrogen-bond acceptors, one hydrophobic, and one ring aromatic features. The models were used to screen various chemical database and top mapped compounds from each database were selected. They were processed for Lipinski filter, Absorption, Distribution, Metabolism, Excretion, and Toxicity (ADMET) analysis, and docking studies. We have obtained six hits with comparable dock score to the reported inhibitors. We have concluded Hit15 as a competent candidate based on its docking and Density Functional Theory (DFT) calculations. It showed 140.73 and 130.79 dock score in CK2 and GSK3β, respectively. The electronic property of Hit 15 showed the lowest energy gap (0.021) compared to other hits and active ligands which suggest its higher reactivity. In conclusion, this study may assist in the development of new potent dual kinase inhibitors of CK2 and GSK3β. Also, the overture effort of combined qualitative and quantitative modeling for the development of multi-target inhibitors may support the future endeavors.  相似文献

The influence of biofilmed formulations composed of Trichoderma viride and Anabaena torulosa as matrices was investigated in Macrophomina phaseolina (Tassi) Goid.-infected cotton crop, in terms of plant growth and biocontrol parameters. Trichoderma based biofilms were developed with Azotobacter chroococcum, Pseudomonas fluorescens and Bacillus subtilis, while A. torulosa biofilms were prepared using B. subtilis and T. viride as components. Scanning electron microscopy revealed significant colonisation of biofilms on the root surface, which could be correlated with lowest mortality of 5.67%, recorded using T. virideB. subtilis biofilm. An increase of 4–7% in polyphenol oxidase enzyme activity was recorded in all biofilm-treated samples, particularly those in which B. subtilis was present. The highest value of 1360.22 µg microbial biomass carbon g?1 soil was recorded in Anabaena–B. subtilis biofilm treatment. Significantly higher values of plant and soil nutrient parameters in treatments in which biofilms were used vis-à-vis individual cultures reveal their promise. Such novel biofilmed biofertilizers with multiple useful traits can be beneficial options for effective nutrient and pest management of cotton crop.  相似文献

Acute bronchitis is a lower respiratory tract lung infection that causes bronchial inflammation. The known protein drug targets are peptidoglycan D, D-transpeptidase, and DNA topoisomerase 4 subunit A for bronchitis linked infections. These are the membrane associated macromolecules which takes a major role in the formation of cell wall membrane by synthesising the cross-linked peptidoglycan. Therefore, it is of interest to design molecules with improved binding features with these protein targets. Hence, we document the molecular docking analysis data of four phytocompounds from Acacia farnesiana having optimal binding features with these targets linked to bronchitis for further consideration.  相似文献
