In experiments on Wistar rats the cytotoxic activity of NK on the 1, 2, 10 days after partial hepatectomy (PH) and the application of Rodiola extract (RE) was studied. After 5 injections of RE the NK activity in gut increased by 112%, and after 12 ones (towards the end of experiment) by 222% in the spleen. The decreasing of this index in a first day after PH in lung, liver and gut was shown to restore in these tissues to the end of experiment. The absence of NK cytotoxicity diminishing just after PH in all the tissues was shown in operated animals, receiving RE and the decreasing of this index was found only in the lungs (by 335%).  相似文献

Viscoelastometric measurements of DNA from gamma-irradiated bacteria were used to identify the induction of double-strand breaks ( DSBs ) in the chromosome of Escherichia coli. It is shown by means of inhibitors of repair endonucleases and different repair mutants that most DSBs in DNA of E. coli, gamma-irradiated in buffer, arise from enzymatic incision of primary gamma-damages; therefore, previous conclusions regarding DSB repair must be reconsidered. Based on these results, much of the reparable damage is single-strand breaks, and this damage can initiate formation of gaps and ultimately, when repair is insufficient, generation of enzymatically caused DSBs . After extensive repair, the first residual DSB in the E. coli chromosome is generated at approximately 160 Gray (Gy), which corresponds to the D37 dose. We propose that DSBs induced directly by gamma-irradiation are not repaired in wild-type strains. In a recently isolated gamma-resistant strain, E. coli Gamr444 , the dose required for observation of DSB after postirradiation incubation is 1,000 Gy, which corresponds to the D37 of the strain. The resistance is proposed to be due to an ability to repair genuine DSBs .  相似文献

The GC content and genome size are integral genomic characteristics limiting potential range of licenses (environments) of prokaryotic taxa. Using a spin-echo method to measure the nuclear relaxation time with maize (Zea mays L.) seedlings as the test object, we demonstrate that changes in the magnetic relaxation rate of water that are observed during the disturbance of the hydrodynamic system of root segments by external pressure (up to 4 MPa) are caused by oxygen paramagnetic doping, which, in turn, leads to changes in the permeability of the plasmalemma to water. Atmospheric oxygen is shown to be a significant source of the magnetic relaxation of water in plants.  相似文献

Mice monoclonal antibodies against lypopolysaccharides (LPS) of Brucella abortus has been obtained and characterized. The antibodies detected LPS of B. abortus, B. melitensis and B. suis with high sensivity and specificity and did not react with LPS of Yersinia enterocolitica O:3, Y. enterocolitica O:9, Salmonella typhimurium, and Francisella tularensis. It has been shown that interaction of monoclonal antibodies and LPS of Brucella species can be critically dependent from buffer system. Obtained monoclonal antibodies allowed to develop highly sensitive assay which was able to detect antigens of Brucella species in concentrations 0.05 - 0.1 ng/ml. The assay can be used for detection and identification of Brucella species.  相似文献

The review describes several modules of the GeneExpress integrated computer system concerning the regulation of gene expression in eukaryotes. Approaches to the presentation of experimental data in databases are considered. The employment of GeneExpress in computer analysis and modeling of the organization and function of genetic systems is illustrated with examples. This work for the first time compares results obtained with studies of parametric robustness of the Hh- and Dpp/BMP signal cascades responsible for morphogenesis and molecular evolution of the Hh- and Dpp/BMP cascade genes. There is a link between adaptive evolution of genes and those changes in kinetic parameters of the signal cascade models, which are critical for normal functioning of these cascades. Special attention is paid to events of the molecular evolution of the Hh- and Dpp/BMP cascade genes that matched with the emergence of the major taxonomic types and classes of Bilateria.  相似文献

It is shown that natural chiral catalysts, which could be formed e.g., from optically active amino acids on basic natural minerals, could lead, at early stages of evolution, to the formation of rather complex optically active products from starting achiral compounds. Using biomimetic combinations of vanadium ion complexes and chiral ligands synthesized from widely occurring natural compounds, we created novel catalytic systems, permitting the transfer of optical activity in the course of catalytic chemical transformations of achiral compounds. We found that in the presence of natural clay, optically active terpenoids from the pinane series undergo multistage transformations, forming unexpected new products with preservation of optical purity.  相似文献

Monodispersed silver (Ag) nanoparticles (NPs) were obtained by applying an electric field on unipolar-charged Ag NPs fabricated using a heterogeneous condensation technique in gas media. Well defined and charged Ag NPs were separated based on their sizes and were collected on quartz substrates. Thin films consisting of monodispersed Ag NPs with size ranging from 35 to 120 nm were prepared by varying an applied electric field during the fabrication process. Scanning electron microscope results showed that the samples have uniform size distribution. Coherent oscillations of conduction band electrons in gas medium induced by electromagnetic field and coupling of all similar plasmon resonances due to uniform Ag NPs size produced unique and interesting optical properties. Narrow extinction widths (~41 to ~69 nm) were observed compared to the width of polydispersed Ag sample. The ability to prepare samples in gas media and tune the plasmon resonance by merely varying an electric field during fabrication makes the method simple, fast, and highly economical.  相似文献
