The primary structure of hemagglutinin (HA) gene of Influenza virus A/USSR/90/77 (H1N1) variants after 3 and 11 passages has been determined. In the HA1 coding region of mice-adapted virus (11 passages) there are two amino acid substitutions: Thr 89----Ala and Asn 127----Asp. At the first stage of adaptation (3-rd passage) only a single mutation was detected: Asn 127----Asp. The adaptation is accompanied by the loss of specific carbohydrate attachment sites adjacent to the receptor-binding site located at HA1 subunit with a concomitant variation in antigenicity.  相似文献

Lipid oxidation and autophagy in yeast   总被引:1,自引:0,他引:1  
Autophagy, a process involved in the degradation and the recycling of long-lived proteins and organelles to survive nitrogen starvation, is generally non-selective. However, recent data suggest that selective forms of autophagy exist, that are able to specifically target several organelles, including mitochondria. Conversely, mitochondrial alterations could trigger autophagy. Such a selective form of autophagy might be involved in the elimination of damaged mitochondria. We reported previously that, mitochondria were early targets of rapamycin-induced autophagy. Here we report that rapamycin-induced autophagy is accompanied by the early production of reactive oxygen species and by the early oxidation of mitochondrial lipid. Inhibition of these oxidative effects by resveratrol largely impaired autophagy of both cytosolic proteins and mitochondria, and delayed subsequent cell death. These results support a role of mitochondrial oxidation events in the activation of autophagy.  相似文献

The effect of intraperitoneal injection of beta-carotene in different doses on the formation of cytolytic T lymphocytes (CTL) in a one-way mixed lymphocyte culture (MLC) of allogeneic mice was studied. The maximal cytotoxic activity of lymphocytes was attained in the MLC with splenocytes of mice which received 10 mg/kg beta-carotene 6 days before experimentation. The correlation was studied between the beta-carotene ability to stimulate CTL formation and antineoplastic activity. It was discovered that injection of beta-carotene in doses and times provoking maximal CTL induction had no effect on the animals' lifespan and the size of transplanted sarcoma 180.  相似文献
