The phytochemical analysis of the ethanolic extract of branches of Cotoneaster horizontalis, Decne revealed the presence of: β-carotene, ascorbic acid and less amounts of α-tocopherol and amygdalin (vitamin B17) in proportions of: 2,500, 70, 0.093, 0.334 mg 100 g?1, respectively. Acute oral toxicity test revealed its safety profile. In vitro study revealed its good 2, 2-diphenyl-1-picrylhydrazyl radical scavenging and anticancer activities. Invivo study, simultaneous administration of this extract at a dose of 100 or 200 mg kg?1 body weight for 4 weeks, exhibited a significant protection in a dose-dependant manner against hepatotoxicity induced by repeated dose of acetaminophen (1 g kg?1 body weight day?1, p.o.) by preserving the liver function parameters, hepatic redox state and serum lipid profile near the healthy levels. Consequently, in vitro culture was carried out on full or half strength of Murashige and Skoog medium supplemented with different concentrations of benzyl amino purine or kinetin provided shootlets production; different concentrations of 2,4-dichlorophenoxy acetic acid and naphthalene acetic acid showed an increase of callus. Determination of α-tocopherol and amygdalin in different shootlets and callus extracts showed a pronounced increases up to 30.62 and 3.69 mg 100 g?1 in shootlet extract, respectively as well as 26.61 and 12.71 mg 100 g?1 in callus extract, respectively, as compared with those of the mother plant (0.76 and 0.11 mg 100 g?1 extract, respectively). 相似文献

Acylated flavonol glycosides from Eugenia jambolana leaves. 总被引:1,自引:0,他引:1
Two acylated flavonol glycosides and 15 known polyphenols have been isolated and identified from the leaves of Eugenca jambolana Lam. The structures of the new compounds were identified as 3-O-(4"-O-acetyl)-alpha-L-rhamnopyranoside of mearnsetin (myricetin 4'-methyl ether) and myricetin 3-O-(4"-O-acetyl-2"-O-galloyl)-alpha-L-rhamnopyranoside. The complete structure elucidation of all isolated metabolites based on chemical and spectroscopic methods of analysis (UV, 1D and 2D NMR) as well as negative ESI-MS with and without CID in-source fragmentation. 相似文献

Hepatic injury by acetaminophen (APAP) has been extensively studied, although the alterations of renal functions and arterial blood pressure (ABP) after APAP exposure are still uncertain, and the impact of Nigella sativa oil (NSO) in this case is poorly defined. Sixty adult male albino rats were involved in two sets of experiments. The first was exposed to a single high dose of APAP (2.5 g/kg) orally preceded by 4 ml NSO/kg orally, while the second received 750 mg APAP/kg/day orally for seven consecutive days and was pretreated with 2 ml NSO/kg/day. Proximal tubular injury was assessed by laboratory and histological studies, and arterial blood pressure was recorded in all animals. In both experiments, urinary α-glutathione S-transferase and neutral endopeptidase, and microproteinuria were dramatically increased early indicating glomerulus and proximal tubule dysfunction that was mediated by raising 8-isoprostanes. Concomitantly, urinary albumin, total protein, creatinine, urea, glomerular filtration rate, Na and K levels, plasma creatinine, and urea were all changed significantly after APAP administration. Currently, ABP increased significantly after APAP which was mostly mediated by renal impairment and increased both renin activity and aldosterone secretion. Pretreatment with NSO produced significant normalization of physiological parameters as well as suppression of structural changes. In conclusion, measurement of urinary biomarkers can be considered a powerful tool for early screening of renal injury and alteration of ABP after APAP treatment. Concomitant administration of NSO can counterbalance these detrimental effects. 相似文献

Chromatographic separation of a 70% aqueous methanol extract (AME) of Pongamia pinnata (Linn.) Pierre (Leguminosae) leaves has led to the isolation of two new isoflavonoid diglycosides, 4'-O-methyl-genistein 7-O-beta-D-rutinoside (2) and 2',5'-dimethoxy-genistein 7-O-beta-D-apiofuranosyl-(1"'-->6")-O-beta-D-glucopyranoside (6), and a new rotenoid, 12a-hydroxy-alpha-toxicarol (5), together with nine known metabolites, vecinin-2 (1), kaempferol 3-O-beta-D-rutinoside (3), rutin (4), vitexin (7), isoquercitrin (8), kaempferol 3-O-beta-D-glucopyranoside (9), 11,12a-dihydroxy-munduserone (10), kaempferol (11), and quercetin (12). Their structures were elucidated on the basis of chemical and spectroscopic analyses. 相似文献

Treatments with γ-amino-n-butyric acid (GABA), ascorbic acid (vitamin C) and chitosan by foliar spray or root dipping technique to eggplant growing under greenhouse conditions before and after inoculation of Meloidogyne incognita showed a generalised increase in the activity of the enzymes, peroxidase (POX), polyphenol oxidase (PPO) and chitinase as compared with the infected non treated control. The maximum increase in POX activity occurred after 10?days of nematode inoculation. The relative PPO activity with chitosan at 2500?ppm, GABA at 5000?ppm and ascorbic acid at 10?ppm using root dipping was found to be 375, 338 and 175% of control, respectively. As for PPO oxidase, the maximum activity was observed after five?days of nematode inoculation by using ascorbic acid at 10?ppm followed by GABA at 5000?ppm and chitosan at 2500?ppm by root dipping (800, 767 and 600% of control), respectively, while the highest chitinase enzyme activity (281% of control) was observed using chitosan at 2500?ppm after 10?days of inoculation. 相似文献

Fusarium wilt caused by Fusarium oxysporum f.sp. ciceris (Foc) is the most important soilborne disease of chickpea in the Sudan and many other countries. A total of 76 Foc isolates from six different chickpea‐growing states in the Sudan have been collected in this study to investigate the genetic diversity of Sudanese Foc isolates. Additional 14 Foc isolates from Syria and Lebanon were included in this study. All isolates were characterized using four random amplified polymorphic DNA (RAPD), three simple sequence repeats (SSR), five sequence‐characterized amplified region (SCAR) primers and three specific Foc genome primers. Based on the similarity coefficient, the results indicated two major clusters included seven subclusters. The isolates from the Sudan were grouped as identified as races 0, 2 and unknown races. The isolates from Syria and Lebanon were grouped together as they identified as races 1B/C and 6, respectively. This study identified a new race Foc (race 0) in the Sudan. The results of this study will be useful for breeders to design effective resistance breeding program in chickpea in the Sudan. 相似文献
