NAD-independent, mitochondrial -glycerophosphate dehydrogenaseof baker's yeast, Saccharomyces cerevisiae, was liberated fromcells and its nature was examined. Hydrogen acceptors, pH optimaand reaction rates with substrate and hydrogen acceptor of theenzyme were determined. A naturally occurring phenolic pigmentextracted from yeast cells was also found to function as aneffective hydrogen acceptor for the enzyme. Addition of FMNor FAD to the -glycerophosphate oxidation system largely acceleratedenzymatic activity, whereas the enzyme system was strongly blockedby SH-reagents. This suggests that the SH-group functions atan essential site. Clear-cut inhibition by antimycin A of electrontransfer to cytochrome c suggests the intermediation of cytochromeb. Single-celled protonemata of the fern Adiantum capillus-veneris, kept under continuous red light, grew with a very low rate of cell division, and the cell cycle was arrested in the early G1 phase. Cell division was induced by transferring the protonemata to the dark after various light treatments, and the duration of component phases in the cell cycle was determined by a continuous-labelling technique with 3H-thymidine. Blue light irradiation greatly reduced the duration of the G1 phase but did not affect that of other phases. The greater the fluence of blue light, the shorter was the duration of G1 phase was observed. In contrast, a brief exposure of red-light-grown protonemata to far-red light given immediately before the dark incubation showed no effect on the duration of G1 S and M phases but significantly extended that of the G2 phase. The effect of far-red light on the G2 phase was reversed by red light, and the effects of red and far-red light were repeatedly reversible. The progression in the M phase was shown by means of a time-lapse video system to be not at all influenced by any pre-irradiation described above.  相似文献

Plasticity in the caste developmental pathway is a remarkable characteristic of termite societies. In Reticulitermes, two types of neotenic reproductive, nymphoids and ergatoids, may differentiate from nymphs and workers and take over reproduction in the colony after the death of the original primary reproductive pair. We examined the dynamics of newly differentiated nymphoids and ergatoids in experimentally orphaned laboratory colonies of R. speratus with different caste compositions. The period required for differentiation of nymphoids was shorter than that for differentiation of ergatoids. The sex ratio of neotenics was strongly female‐biased, particularly in ergatoids. The results suggested that the number of differentiated ergatoids was restricted by the existence of nymphs or nymphoids in a colony. Workers were assumed to kill most newly differentiated neotenics. Attack reflecting conflict between colony members is probably an important mechanism to control neotenic emergence.  相似文献

1. The rate of O2-uptake of Lemna gibba G3 changed with a dampeddiurnal rhythm under continuous illumination given after shortdays. The rhythm was started by a light-on stimulus with a 6hr lag period and is thought to be under the control of a biologicalclock. 2. The 6 hr lag period was replaceable with a 6 hr dark periodinterrupted twice (at 0 and 3 hr) by a brief illumination withred light. The effect of red light was removed by immediateexposure to far-red light. This effect of far-red was reversedby subsequent red light. 采用药膜法研究了福州建新和闽侯上街菜蚜茧蜂Diaeretiella rapae对杀虫剂抗药性的季节性变化。田间菜蚜茧蜂种群在网室内脱离选择压力后对杀虫剂敏感性显著升高。与敏感的F21子代的LC50相比,2002年6月8日至2004年11月18日期间,建新菜区菜蚜茧蜂对甲胺磷、氟虫腈、阿维菌素、氰戊菊酯和吡虫啉的抗性倍数分别为11.8~31.2,9.3~14.7,9.3~35.7,7.0~16.6,和13.3~30.1倍;2003年6月5日至2004年12月17日期间,上街菜区菜蚜茧蜂对甲胺磷、氟虫腈、阿维菌素、氰戊菊酯和吡虫啉的抗性倍数分别为7.5~34.9,4.0~14.3,9.2~38.6,7.8~18.9和12.1~24.2倍。田间菜蚜茧蜂种群在5月份和6月初抗性水平最高,12月份较低,6月末最低,尤其在6月份期间20天内抗性水平急剧下降。研究结果表明,田间菜蚜茧蜂对6种杀虫剂的抗性水平在脱离选择压力后不稳定,且呈显著的季节性变化。表2参25  相似文献

分别在小菜蛾体内的菜蛾绒茧蜂处于卵期、早期幼虫和中期幼虫时,饲喂小菜蛾2龄幼虫亚致死剂量(=LC10)的阿维菌素和氟虫睛,研究上述杀虫剂处理对寄主体内菜蛾绒茧蜂结茧率和羽化率的影响。结果表明: 在菜蛾绒茧蜂处于卵期、早期幼虫和中期幼虫时,饲喂小菜蛾LC10剂量阿维菌素处理的菜叶后,菜蛾绒茧蜂的结茧率分别下降26.6%,22.8%和5.8%,饲喂小菜蛾LC10剂量氟虫睛处理的菜叶后,菜蛾绒茧蜂的结茧率分别下降76.9%,42.5%和18.5%。上述阿维菌素处理对菜蛾绒茧蜂成虫羽化率影响不显著,但上述氟虫睛处理可显著抑制菜蛾绒茧蜂成虫羽化率,在菜蛾绒茧蜂处于卵期、早期幼虫和中期幼虫时,饲喂小菜蛾LC10 剂量氟虫睛处理的菜叶可导致菜蛾绒茧蜂成虫羽化率分别下降53.1%,36.1%和47.8%。结果显示,即便是对寄主小菜蛾幼虫很低的剂量(LC10剂量)也会显著危害小菜蛾幼虫体内的菜蛾绒茧蜂的生长发育。此外,饲喂小菜蛾幼虫亚致死剂量杀虫剂对菜蛾绒茧蜂生长发育的影响与杀虫剂种类及蛾绒茧蜂发育阶段有关。  相似文献

Ribosomal protein S 13 gene has been cloned and analyzed in many organisms,but there are few documents relating to insects. In this communication, the full-length cDNA sequence of ribosomal protein S 13 gene in the diamondback moth, Plutella xylostella(Lepidoptera: Plutellidae), was determined by using PCR amplification technique. The features of the ribosomal protein S 13 gene sequence were analyzed and the deduced amino acids sequence was compared with those from other insects. The results of multi-alignment of the amino acid sequences between the diamondback moth and other insect species revealed that this gene sequence is highly conserved in insects. Based on maximum likelihood method, a phylogenetic tree was constructed from 10 different species using PHYLIP software. It showed that nematode is one separate lineage and the five insect speciesbe long to another lineage, whereas those species higher than insects form the third one. The pattern of this phylogenetic tree evidently represented the evolution of different species.  相似文献

The seasonal changes of insecticide resistance and stability in hymenopteran Cotesia plutellae, collected from Jianxin, Fuzhou-City, and Shangjie, Minhou-County, Fujian, China, were assessed by using a dry residual film method. The resistance to two insecticides in the field populations of C. plutellae was not stable under insecticide-free conditions in the insectarium. Compared with susceptible F11 progeny of C. plutellae in the insectarium, the resistance ratios (RR) in F0 parents were 18.4 for fenvalerate and 11.4 for cypermethrin based on LC50 at 9 hours, and 32.8 for fenvalerate and 28.5 for cypermethrin based on LC50 at 24 hours when the parasitoids were left in contact with the insecticides for 1 hour and mortalities were recorded at 9 and 24 hours, respectively. However, the RR in a field population of C. plutellae were 9.2 for fenvalerate and 12.7 for cypermethrin, if the parasitoids were left in contact with the insecticides for 24 hours. The resistances to the two pyrethroids in other field populations collected from Jianxin and Shangjie from November 2000 and July 2004 were also determined. Significant seasonal variations of resistance to the two insecticides in the field populations of C. plutellae were found. The RR were 3.0-18.4 for fenvalerate and 4.8-20.6 for cypermethrin in Jianxin populations from November 2000 to April 2002 based on LC50 at 9 h, and 2.3-13.6 for fenvalerate and 3.6-16.0 for cypermethrin in Shangjie populations from May 2002 to July 2004 based on LC50 at 24 hours. The resistance levels were high in spring and autumn and decreased sharply in summer. In addition, significant recovery from the knocked-down caused by the insecticides was found in the F0 and field populations of C. plutellae which were resistant to fenvalerate and cypermethrin if the parasitoids were left in contact with the pyrethroids for 1 hour. 为探索杀扑磷抗性获得对奥氏钝绥螨Amblyseius womersleyi Schicha发育历期与繁殖能力的影响,研究了在25℃与30℃温度下,奥氏钝绥螨的杀扑磷抗性系与敏感系的发育历期与繁殖能力。结果表明:奥氏钝绥螨的杀扑磷抗性系与敏感系的交配产卵行为习性没有差异。在25℃与30℃温度下,奥氏钝绥螨的各发育历期、产卵期、产卵高峰期,每雌日产卵量与总产卵量,卵孵化率及雌雄成螨性比等,在杀扑磷抗性系与敏感性系之间无明显差异。结果说明杀扑磷抗性获得对奥氏钝绥螨的发育历期与繁殖能力没有明显影响。  相似文献
