Volatile components of field- and glass greenhouse-grown tomatoes(Lycopersicon esculentum MILL., variety, V. R. Moscow) of differentmaturities were studied by gas-liquid and thin-layer chromatography.The following components were separated and identified: isobutylalcohol, isopentyl alcohol, hexyl alcohol, 2-methyl-3-hexanol,isovaleraldehyde, caproaldehyde, benzaldehyde, furfural, isopentylacetate, isopentyl butyrate, isopentyl isovalerate, butyl hexanoate,hexyl hexanoate, methyl salicylate and -pinene. Chromatogramswere consistent for both field- and greenhouse-grown tomatoesat all stages of maturity. Except for isovaleraldehyde and hexylalcohol, the biosynthesis of volatile components increased alongwith the growth of fruit. Isovaleraldehyde and hexyl alcohol,presumed to give the "green leafy" aroma of tomatoes, were foundto be in their highest concentrations at the breaker and thelarge-green stages, respectively. 1This research was supported by a research grant—UI 00449—fromthe National Center for Urban and Industrial Health, U. 本文描述的产于越南的毛茛科Ranunculaceae铁线莲属Clematis一新种C. hagiangensis N. T. Do是欧亚大陆第一个具单性花的种, 在花构造方面与单性铁线莲组单性铁线莲亚组sect. Aspidanthera Spach subsect. Dioicae (Prantl) W. T. Wang的种类近缘, 但叶均为单叶, 萼片呈卵形或宽卵形而不同。在单性铁线莲亚组的种, 叶通常为复叶, 只在C. dimorphophylla W. T. Wang和C. variifolia W. T. Wang同时为单叶和复叶, 此外萼片呈长圆形、倒披针形或狭卵形。  相似文献

New inhibitors of palmitoylCoA oxidation were synthesized based on a structurally novel lead, CVT-3501 (1). Investigation of structure-activity relationships was conducted with respect to potency of inhibition of cardiac mitochondrial palmitoylCoA oxidation and metabolic stability. Potent and metabolically stable analogues 33, 42, and 43 were evaluated in vitro for cytochrome P450 inhibition and potentially adverse electrophysiological effects. Compound 33 was also found to have favorable pharmacokinetic properties in rat.  相似文献

New inhibitors of palmitoyl-CoA oxidation are based on the introduction of nitrogen heterocycles in the ‘Western Portion’ of the molecule. SAR studies led to the discovery of CVT-4325 (shown), a potent FOXi (IC50 = 380 nM rat mitochondria) with favorable PK properties (F = 93%, t1/2 = 13.6 h, dog).  相似文献

Female moths of Lyclene dharma dharma (Arctiidae, Lithosiinae) produced three pheromone components (I-III), which strongly stimulated male antennae. Using GC-MS analysis and chemical derivatizations, the following structures were estimated: 6-methyl-2-octadecanone (I), 14-methyl-2-octadecanone (II), and 6,14-dimethyl-2-octadecanone (III). While the stereochemistry of the chiral centers could not be determined because it was difficult to collect a sufficient amount of the natural pheromone, the plain structures of I and II were confirmed by synthesis of the racemic mixtures starting from diols. These methyl-branched ketones have not been identified as a natural product, indicating that they constitute a new chemical group of lepidopteran female sex pheromones.  相似文献

A novel series of potent inhibitors of glucosylceramide synthase are described. The optimization of biochemical and cellular potency as well as ADME properties led to compound 23c. Broad tissue distribution was obtained following oral administration to mice. Thus 23c could be another useful tool compound for studying the effects of GCS inhibition in vitro and in vivo.  相似文献

BACKGROUND: NKX2-3 is associated with inflammatory bowel disease (IBD). NKX2-3 is expressed in microvascular endothelial cells and the muscularis mucosa of the gastrointestinal tract. Human intestinal microvascular endothelial cells (HIMECs) are actively involved in the pathogenesis of IBD and IBD-associated microvascular dysfunction. To understand the cellular function of NKX2-3 and its potential role underlying IBD pathogenesis, we investigated the genes regulated by NKX2-3 in HIMEC using cDNA microarray. METHODOLOGY/PRINCIPAL FINDINGS: NKX2-3 expression was suppressed by shRNA in two HIMEC lines and gene expression was profiled by cDNA microarray. Pathway Analysis was used to identify gene networks according to biological functions and associated pathways. Validation of microarray and genes expression in intestinal tissues was assessed by RT-PCR. NKX2-3 regulated genes are involved in immune and inflammatory response, cell proliferation and growth, metabolic process, and angiogenesis. Several inflammation and angiogenesis related signaling pathways that play important roles in IBD were regulated by NKX2-3, including endothelin-1 and VEGF-PI3K/AKT-eNOS. Expression levels of NKX2-3, VEGFA, PI3K, AKT, and eNOS are increased in intestinal tissues from IBD patients and expression levels of EDN1 are decreased in intestinal tissues from IBD patients. These results demonstrated the important roles of NKX2-3, VEGF, PI3K, AKT, eNOS, and EDN1 in IBD pathogenesis. Correlation analysis showed a positive correlation between mRNA expression of NKX2-3 and VEGFA and a negative correlation between mRNA expression of NKX2-3 and EDN1 in intestinal tissues from IBD patients. CONCLUSION/RELEVANCE: NKX2-3 may play an important role in IBD pathogenesis by regulating endothelin-1 and VEGF signaling in HIMECs.  相似文献

Normal albumin loss from the plasma is thought to be minimized by a number of mechanisms, including charge repulsion with the capillary wall and an intracellular rescue pathway involving the major histocompatibility complex-related Fc receptor (FcRn)-mediated mechanism. This study investigates how these factors may influence the mechanism of hypoalbuminemia. Hypoalbuminemia in rats was induced by treatment with puromycin aminonucleoside (PA). To test the effects of PA on capillary wall permeability, plasma elimination rates were determined for tritium-labeled tracers of different-sized Ficolls, negatively charged Ficolls, and (14)C-labeled tracer of albumin in control and PA-treated Sprague-Dawley rats. Urinary excretion and tissue uptake were also measured. Hypoalbuminemia was also examined in two strains of FcRn-deficient mice: beta(2)-microglobulin (beta(2)M) knockout (KO) mice and FcRn alpha-chain KO mice. The excretion rates of albumin and albumin-derived fragments were measured. PA-induced hypoalbuminemia was associated with a 2.5-fold increase in the plasma elimination rate of albumin. This increase could be completely accounted for by the increase in urinary albumin excretion. Changes in the permeability of the capillary wall were not apparent, inasmuch as there was no comparable increase in the plasma elimination rate of 36- to 85-A Ficoll or negatively charged 50- to 80-A Ficoll. In contrast, hypoalbuminemic states in beta(2)M and FcRn KO mice were associated with decreases in excretion of albumin and albumin-derived fragments. This demonstrates that the mechanism of hypoalbuminemia consists of at least two distinct forms: one specifically associated with the renal handling of albumin and the other mediated by systemic processes.  相似文献
