In electrophysiological experiments in Wistar rats it was shown that preventive immunization of animals with bovine serum albumin conjugated with dopamine or 5-hydroxytryptamine or with bovine serum albumin alone partly protects against the development of experimental MPTP-induced depressive syndrome. Signs of depressive-like state such as decrease in REM-sleep latency and the development of epileptiform activity in caudate putamen were not observed in immunized animals, whereas REM-sleep proportion in the total sleep structure was increased. Changes in the spectral characteristics of brain electric activity and sleep structure during development of experimental MPTP-induced syndrome in immunized rats are antigen-specific and reflect the functional shifts in neurotransmitter systems, both in those which are the target of the immune action and those sensitive to alterations in the immune state of a body.  相似文献

Here we present the data obtained during medical genetic examination of the population of five districts of Bashkortostan Republic (Burzyanskii, Baimakskii, Abzelilovskii, Salavatskii, and Arkhangelskii) populated with 168050 persons including 135748 Bashkirs. The study involved all the population of the districts including each ethnic group and was conducted according to standard protocol developed in the Laboratory of Genetic Epidemiology, Medical Genetic Research Center, Russian Academy of Medical Sciences. Based on segregation analysis, the values of prevalence rates of the major types of Mendelian pathology (AD, AR, and X-linked diseases) was calculated in five regions of the Republic as well as for Bashkirs alone. Significant differences in the prevalence rates of AD and AR pathologies between individual districts, in particular upon division in rural and urban population, was observed. The prevalence rates comparison of monogenic hereditary pathology among Bashkirs compared to other previously examined populations have shown that the patterns of the hereditary disease load in the inspected districts of Bashkortostan were similar to that observed in the population of some districts in Udmurtia, Marii El and Chuvashiya. Russian European populations have shown significantly lower load of hereditary diseases. Correlation analysis of local inbreeding, endogamy and prevalence rates of AD and AR pathologies has shown that development of hereditary diseases load is significantly affected by gene drift.  相似文献

We investigated the efficacy of Ocimum basilicum (OB) essential oils for treating depression related behavioral, biochemical and histopathological changes caused by exposure to chronic unpredictable mild stress (CUMS) in mice and to explore the mechanism underlying the pathology. Male albino mice were divided into four groups: controls; CUMS; CUMS plus fluoxetine, the antidepressant administered for pharmacological validation of OB; and CUMS plus OB. Behavioral tests included the forced swim test (FST), elevated plus-maze (EPM) and the open ?eld test (OFT); these tests were performed at the end of the experiment. We assessed serum corticosterone level, protein, gene and immunoexpression of brain-derived neurotropic factor (BDNF) and glucocorticoid receptors (GRs) as well as immunoexpression of glial fibrillary acidic protein (GFAP), Ki67, caspase-3 in the hippocampus. CUMS caused depression in the mice as evidenced by prolonged immobility in the FST, prolonged time spent in the open arms during the EPM test and reduction of open field activity in the OFT. OB ameliorated the CUMS induced depressive status. OB significantly reduced the corticosterone level and up-regulated protein and gene expressions of BDNF and GR. OB reduced CUMS induced hippocampal neuron atrophy and apoptosis, and increased the number of the astrocytes and new nerve cells. OB significantly increased GFAP-positive cells as well as BDNF and GR immunoexpression in the hippocampus.  相似文献

Data on the prevalence of hereditary diseases in five regions of the Kostroma province were obtained and analysed. It was shown that the ascertainment was close to the truncate selection for the rural population and to the single selection for the urban population. Segregational analysis proved the rightness of the material subdivision, according to the type of inheritance. The load of hereditary diseases (for the registered forms) in the population was: 0.78 +/- 0.08 X 10(-3) for autosomal dominant, 0.75 +/- 0.08 X 10(-3) for autosomal-recessive and 0.54 +/- 0.1 X 10(-3) for X-linked recessive disorders. The dynamics of the load of hereditary diseases in the populations with different structure is discussed.  相似文献

The diversity of hereditary pathology in 5 regions of Kostroma district was studied. 32 nosological forms of autosomal dominant, 30 autosomal recessive and 7 X-linked recessive disorders were found. The most frequent autosomal dominant disorders were: neurofibromatosis, pigmentary degeneration of retina, hypochondroplasia, ichtiosis, idiopathic scoliosis. The most frequent among the autosomal recessive disorders were: oligophrenia, pigmentary degeneration of retina, muscular atrophy of juvenile Kugelberg--Welander type, congenital cataract. The most frequent X-linked disorders were: muscular Duchenne type dystrophy and hemophilia A. Analysis of mutant gene distribution over the territory by the study of birthplaces of probands and their parents was carried out.  相似文献

Data on the prevalence of hereditary diseases in five regions of the Kostroma province were obtained and analysed. 28 autosomal recessive, 25 autosomal dominant and 4 X-linked recessive disorders were found. Segregation analysis proved the rightness of the material subdivision, according to the type of inheritance. The load of hereditary diseases in five regions was: 0.86 +/- 0.09 X 10(3) for autosomal recessive, 0.97 +/- 0.1 X 10(3) for autosomal dominant and 0.36 +/- 0.09 X 10(3) for X-linked recessive disorders. We synthesized the 24-41, 30-36, 31-36, 24-30 fragments of the preS1-region of the hepatitis B (subtype ayw) envelope. The peptides were prepared by the solid phase synthesis on perfluorpolyethylene polymer grafted with polystyrene. The peptide chains were elongated from C-terminus using activated esters and symmetrical anhydrides of Boc-amino acids, cleaved off the solid phase by HBr or TFMSA in TFA, purified by gel filtration, and, after conjugation with protein carriers, inoculated into test animals. The resultant antibodies were shown to react with peptides. The blood sera from patients with acute hepatitis B reacted with the conjugates of peptides 24-41, 30-36, 31-36 in the immunoenzymic solid phase assay. The monoclonal antibodies for the preS1-polypeptide were shown to react with peptides 24-41, 30-36, 31-36 and with their conjugates. The results obtained were proved by the data of the epitope-mapping with overlapping hexapeptides.  相似文献
