A series of 23-oxosteroid derivatives have been synthesized and tested for their inhibiting Na+, K(+)-dependent ATPase from rat brain in the 1 x 10(-6)-1 x 10(-4) M concentrations. Natural 23-oxogenins from sea star Asterias amurensis and synthetic monoesters showed the inhibiting activity upto 50-55%. These compounds caused heart contraction in frogs at the level of the known cardiotonic strophanthin G, and inotropic activity on isolated heart of mollusk Spisula sachalinensis.  相似文献

We use the electron-conformational interaction approach to develop a physical model which self-consistently describes the photomobilized electron transfer kinetics and structure conformational transitions in reaction centers (RCs) of purple bacteria. We consider the kinetics of electron transition from pigment onto primary acceptor and the subsequent charge recombination accounting for the change of distance between the above-mentioned cofactors. It is shown that, given natural values of RC parameters, the kinetic constant's dependence on the acting light intensity is monotone. As opposed to the previous case, similar dependencies for the chain of electron transfer between primary and secondary quinone acceptors revealed anS-like relationship. This can lead to bistability of the RC optical transmission coefficient and a fundamental dependence of charge recombination kinetics upon the prehistory of the RC's interaction with exciting radiation.  相似文献

In the experiment with water from the hypereutrophic Lake Frederiksborg Slotso (Denmark) sampled during the autumn peak of Microcystis growth, the quantity and production of free-living and cyanobacteria-associated heterotrophic bacteria were determined, as well as the extracellular enzymatic (aminopeptidase) activity. The functional diversities of associated and free-living bacterial communities were additionally compared using BIOLOG GN microplates to reveal the possible export of Microcystis-attached bacteria into ambient water. It has been shown that the cell size, production values, and growth rates of associated bacteria were less than those of free-living bacteria. At the same time, the potential aminopeptidase activity of associated bacteria was always higher than that of free-living bacteria. The experimental results have shown significant compositional differences in the structure of bacterial communities from different habitats.  相似文献

Actomyosin-based cortical contractility is a common feature of eukaryotic cells and is involved in cell motility, cell division, and apoptosis. In nonmuscle cells, oscillations in contractility are induced by microtubule depolymerization during cell spreading. We developed an ordinary differential equation model to describe this behavior. The computational model includes 36 parameters. The values for all but two of the model parameters were taken from experimental measurements found in the literature. Using these values, we demonstrate that the model generates oscillatory behavior consistent with current experimental observations. The rhythmic behavior occurs because of the antagonistic effects of calcium-induced contractility and stretch-activated calcium channels. The model makes several experimentally testable predictions: 1), buffering intracellular calcium increases the period and decreases the amplitude of cortical oscillations; 2), increasing the number or activity of stretch activated channels leads to an increase in period and amplitude of cortical oscillations; 3), inhibiting Ca2+ pump activity increases the period and amplitude of oscillations; and 4), a threshold exists for the calcium concentration below which oscillations cease.  相似文献

The analysis of the data on the isolation of V. cholerae from different ecological systems indicates that V. eltor do not constantly inhibit the rivers and sea at the territory under control. Hemolytically active V. cholerae without the vct gene, found to be faintly virulent and avirulent when studied on suckling rabbits used as a model and when evaluated by the complex method, show no tendency towards epidemic spread in the presence of conditions for the realization of the transmission of vibrios by the water route.  相似文献

Nucleotide sequences of the mtDNA control region were studied in 64 Daurian ground squirrels of the Spermophilus dauricus dauricus subspecies from 20 localities from the territory of Mongolia and Transbaikalia of the Russian Federation. A large number of slightly different haplotypes were detected. It was found that genetic polymorphism is not associated with geographical variability. It seems that the Kherlen River is not an ecological and geographical barrier for Daurian ground squirrels, while an exchange between Mongolian and Chinese populations probably occurs within the southwest end of the Greater Khingan Range. By comparative analysis of a number of molecular genetic markers, it was found that the mitochondrial genome numbered KR534854 (GenBank NCBI) belongs not to S. dauricus, but to one of the members of the Sciurus genus.  相似文献
