Embryogenic callus cultures were initiated from mature embryosof Lasiurus scindicus on Murashige and Skoog's medium supplementedwith 6 mg l–1 2,4-Dichlorophenoxyacetic acid (2,4-D).These cultures were maintained on 2 mg l–1 2,4-D. Plantletswere regenerated via somatic embryogenesis when the calli weretransferred onto hormone-free MS basal medium.
