Temperature dependence of spin-spin proton relaxation times of DNA and bound water and the content of bound water in the samples of DNA, saturated with water in the atmosphere with different relative humidities from 0 to 100% were studied by means of pulsed NMR. It is shown that the temperature transition in the system of DNA-bound water in the interval 18-35 degrees is observed only when the relative humidity is more than 70% and the double-stranded structure of DNA exists. The transition of DNA from one conformation into another passes through some intermediate state more labile and probably less ordered. This transition is accompanied by changes in the structure of the hydration shell. In the case when relative humidity is greater than 80%, the partial dehydration of DNA stimulated by the transition is observed. 本文报道海拔3417m和4280m地区世居藏族和移居汉族青少年运动状态下心肺功能的对比研究。结果显示:3417m和4280m世居藏族的最大氧耗量、无氧阈值及最大心输出量都明显大于汉族,血氧饱和度(Sao2)随运动负荷的增加而降低。海拔3417m藏、汉族的△Sao2分别为7.46%和10.03%,4280m处为8.57%和13.75%,最大心率随海拔升高而下降。研究提示,藏族青少年有较高的最大有氧能力,反映了他们对低氧环境的适应优势。 相似文献

In this work materials characterizing the appearance and development of influenza epidemic at the territories of the USSR and the Czech Socialist Republic are presented, the common features and differences of the epidemic process in both countries are recorded. The work shows that in both countries the appearance of this epidemic is caused by the same virus. In most cases the epidemic started earlier and lasted longer in the USSR, but morbidity rate during the epidemic was, on the whole, higher in the Czech Socialist Republic. Similarity in the course of the primary period of the epidemic processes from their appearance to their maximum rise was observed. In both countries the maximum rise of morbidity rate was registered on weeks 3-4 from the beginning of the epidemic. 相似文献

The work deals with the peculiarities of the spread of influenza A/USSR77 (H1N1) in the USSR and in the world. The authors point out that the most outstanding feature of the epidemic in the USSR was low morbidity rate among adults, persons aged up to 25 years being most affected. This suggests the existence of prolonged (up to 20 years) post-influenza immunity. The results of the mathematical pronostication of this epidemic for the territory of the USSR were analyzed and and found to be quite satisfactory for the majority of cities. 相似文献

The positioning and dynamics of organelles depend on membrane-cytoskeleton interactions. Mitochondria relocate along microtubules (MT), but it is not clear whether MT have direct effects on mitochondrial function. Using two-photon microscopy and the mitochondrial fluorescent dyes rhodamine 123 and Rhod-2, we showed that Taxol and nocodazole, which correspondingly stabilize and disrupt MT, decreased potential and Ca(2+) in the mitochondria of brain stem pre-Botzinger complex neurons. Without changing basal cytoplasmic Ca(2+) ([Ca(2+)](i)), Taxol promoted the generation of [Ca(2+)](i) spikes in dendrites. These spikes were abolished after blockade of Ca(2+) influx and after depletion of internal Ca(2+) stores, indicating the involvement of Ca(2+)-induced Ca(2+) release. Nocodazole decreased mitochondrial potential and [Ca(2+)](m) and produced a long lasting increase in [Ca(2+)](i). MT-acting drugs depolarized single immobilized mitochondria and released previously stored Ca(2+). All of these effects were inhibited by pretreatment with blockers of mitochondrial permeability transition pore (mPTP), cyclosporin A, and 2-aminoethoxydiphenyl borate. Induction of mPTP by Taxol and nocodazole was confirmed by using a calcein/Co(2+) imaging technique. Electron and optical microscopy revealed tubulin bound to mitochondria. Mitochondria, MT, and endoplasmic reticulum (ER) showed strong co-localization, the degree of which decreased after MT were disrupted. We propose that changes in the structure of MT by Taxol and nocodazole promote the induction of mPTP. Subsequent Ca(2+) efflux stimulates the Ca(2+) release from the ER that drives spontaneous [Ca(2+)](i) transients. Thus, close positioning of mitochondria to the ER as determined by MT can be essential for the local [Ca](i) signaling in neurons. 相似文献

Background
Many musculoskeltal injuries in the workplace have been attributed to the repetitive loading of muscle and soft tissues. It is not disputed that muscular fatigue is a risk factor for musculoskeltal injury, however the disparity between gender with respect to muscular fatigability and rate of recovery is not well understood. Current health and safety guidelines do not account for sex differences in fatiguability and may be predisposing one gender to greater risk. The purpose of this study was to quantify the sex differences in fatigue development and recovery rate of lower and upper body musculature after repeated bouts of sustained isometric contractions.Methods
Twenty-seven healthy males (n = 12) and females (n = 15) underwent bilateral localized fatigue of either the knee extensors (male: n = 8; female: n = 8), elbow flexors (male: n = 8; female: n = 10), or both muscle groups. The fatigue protocol consisted of ten 30-second sub-maximal isometric contractions. The changes in maximum voluntary contraction (MVC), electrically evoked twitches, and motor unit activation (MUA) were assessed along with the ability to control the sustained contractions (SLP) during the fatigue protocol using a mixed four-factor repeated measures ANOVA (gender × side × muscle × time) design with significance set at p < 0.05.Results
There was a significant loss of MVC, MUA, and evoked twitch amplitude from pre- to post-fatigue in both the arms and legs. Males had greater relative loss of isometric force, a higher rate of fatigue development, and were less capable of maintaining the fatiguing contractions in the legs when compared to the females.Conclusion
The nature of the induced fatigue was a combination of central and peripheral fatigue that did not fully recover over a 45-minute period. The results appear to reflect sex differences that are peripheral, and partially support the muscle mass hypothesis for explaining differences in muscular fatigue.10.
