Effect of roasting on ochratoxin A level in green coffee beans inoculated with Aspergillus ochraceus

The heat stability of ochratoxin A in green coffee beans inoculated with Aspergillus ochraceus was studied. Heat treatment (roasting) at 200 °C for 10 or 20 min reduced the levels of ochratoxin A by only 0–12% in the dried whole beans. Almost all of the ochratoxin A was infused into the coffee decoction when the roasted samples were ground and extracted with boiling water. Therefore, the reduction of ochratoxin A concentration of contaminated coffee beans by roasting under these conditions is ineffective. 相似文献

The technique of positive- and negative-ion fast atom bombardment mass spectrometry has been shown to be capable of producing molecular mass and useful fragmentation information for the structural elucidation of chlorogenic acids. Intracellular recordings and dye injections were used to examine mutual coupling among slow abdominal postural motoneurons in the 4th abdominal ganglion in crayfish (Procambarus clarkii). Intracellular current injection into one motoneuron altered the spike firing rate of some of its synergists. Depending on the polarity of the injected current, the premotor effect on the synergists was excitatory or inhibitory. The magnitude of the effect was intensity dependent. No dye coupling was found among the motoneurons following injection of Lucifer yellow. The morphological basis of the coupling was examined by differential filling of motoneuron pairs, one with horseradish peroxidase and the other with Lucifer yellow. The stained motoneurons were simultaneously visualized under light microscopy to determine the proximity of their differently colored dendrites. It was thus possible to locate the site of the presumed monosynaptic contacts between them. Combined physiological and morphological evidence suggests that these neurons are mutually coupled, forming part of an integrative system for abdominal posture control in crayfish. 相似文献

The antifungal activity of 441-acyl derivatives of 3-(3,5-dichlorophenyl)-2,4-imidazol- idinedione against Botrytis cinerea, and of 10 1-sulfonyl compounds against Aiternaria kikuchi- ana were assayed by the agar medium dilution method. The structure-activity relationships for the substituents of the acyl and sulfonyl moieties were analyzed with such physicochemical parameters as hydrophobic π, inductive electronic σ1, and steric E′cs and B1 values by multiple regression. The activity of the acyl derivatives against B. cinerea was related parabolically to the hydrophobicity of the substituents. The stronger the electron-donating power, the larger the overall steric bulkiness, and the smaller the minimum width in the direction perpendicular to the bond axis of the substituents, the greater was the activity. The activity of the sulfonyl derivatives against A. kikuciana was related only to the hydrophobicity of the substituents. 相似文献

The membrane lipids of six higher plants that differ in salt tolerance were analyzed and compared. The root lipids increased in a ratio of glycolipid/phospholipid with increasing salt- tolerance. A similar increase in the ratio was observed with increasing external salinity when halophytic orach and salt-sensitive cucumber were exposed to varying salinity, although the latter plant was limited to only a little increase. Measurements of ion-transport rates with artificial lipid membranes revealed that the root lipids from a salt-resistant plant formed a more permeable membrane than those from a salt-sensitive species. It was found that the membrane permeability was related to the glycolipid/phospholipid ratio in the membrane lipids, where the glycolipids were stimulative and the phospholipids were repressive for ion-flow. These different effects of the two lipid classes may be attributed to their molecular species and head groups. 相似文献

Using 3-(3′,5′-dichlorophenyl)-5,5-dimethyloxazolidine-2,4-dione labeled with 14C or 3H, absorption, excretion, and tissue distribution in male Wistar rats were studied, and metabolites excreted were identified. At the dosage rates of 100, 300, 1000 and 3000 mg/kg, the maximum excretion of orally administered radioactivity occurred within 24 hr. Increase in the dosage rate was paralleled by decrease in the proportion of urinary elimination. Essentially all the radioactivity was excreted in 2 weeks. DDOD level was generally low in most tissues. Adipose tissue contained higher radioactivity compared with others. Most of the urinary metabolites identified were characterized by hydroxylation at the 4′ position of the benzene ring moiety, and hydrolytic or oxidative modification of the oxazolidine ring portion. 相似文献
