The portal vein and its main affluents. An anatomic and morphometric study   总被引:1,自引:0,他引:1
There are reported the results of certain measurements made on 158 human cadavers of both sexes. A series of main parameters are given, such as the distance between the superior mesenteric vein and on the one hand its confluence with other vessels and on the other hand the pancreas and the horizontal part of the duodenum: the distance between the superior mesenteric vein together with the portal vein, and the inferior caval vein; the diameters of the portal trunk and the confluence angle between the roots of the portal vein. The results reflect the possibility to perform a troncular portocaval anastomosis in at least 90 per cent of the cases. The authors' attention was, however, directed towards the anatomy of the superior mesenteric vein, as this vessel is preferred by some surgeons in the achievement of the portocaval anastomosis.  相似文献

Fucosyltransferases (FTs) and various glycosidases that are involved in the biosynthesis or degradation of SSEA-1 (Lex) antigens and their precursors in the CNS are developmentally regulated. In forebrain and cerebellum with lactosamine (LacNAc) as acceptor the FT activity was maximal at P15–P22, but with the glycolipid substrate paragloboside (nLc4) the maximal activity in cerebellum was obtained at P10–P15. The FT activity, with these substrates, was insensitive to N-ethylmaleimide (NEM) and the glycolipid product had an α1,3 linkage (Fuc to GlcNAc) suggesting similarities of the investigated enzyme to the cloned human and rat FT IV. However, the observation of different patterns of FT activity in isoelectrofocused fractions (pH 3.5–10) with different types of acceptors, and the differential expression of Lex containing glycolipids and glycoproteins during development strongly suggest the presence of more than one type of FT during development. Data on developmental expression of the hydrolytic enzymes, α-L-fucosidase, β-D-galactosidase and α-D-galactosidase, which can potentially hydrolyse SSEA-1 or its precursors, support the notion that SSEA-1 expression is the result of a dynamic balance between the activity of transferases and hydrolases. © 1998 Rapid Science Ltd  相似文献

Two new feather mite species of the family Pteronyssidae Oudemans, 1941 collected from birds captured in Ivory Coast are described: Pteronyssoides cyanomitrae n. sp. from Cyanomitra obscura (Jardine) (Passeriformes: Nectariniidae) and Conomerus pygmaeus n. sp. from Hylia prasina (Cassin) (Passeriformes: Macrosphenidae). Pteronyssoides cyanomitrae n. sp. belongs to the nectariniae species group and differs from the closest species, P. garioui Gaud & Mouchet, 1959, in having, in males, the adanal shield present and setae f longer than setae d on the tarsus III; females of this species have the hysteronotal shield with two small median incisions on the anterior margin barely extending beyond the level of setae e2. Conomerus pygmaeus n. sp. is the first species of this genus found on a passerine host, and seems to be more similar to C. sclerosternus Gaud, 1990. This new species has the following distinctive characters: in females, the opisthosoma has small lobe-like extensions and the central sclerite is fused posteriorly with the lateral opisthosomal sclerites; in males, coxal fields I–IV lack large sclerotised areas.  相似文献

The presence of specialized microbial associations between populations of chemoautotrophic bacteria and archaea with ascomycetous fungi was observed inside stalactite-shaped mineral formations in a highly acidic cave environment. Metagenomic, chemical and electron microscopy analyses were used to investigate the relevance of these microbial ecosystems in the formation of stalactites. Ferric hydroxide produced by acidophilic bacteria and archaea was shown to be deposited onto fungal hyphae, resulting in complex mineralized stalactite-shaped structures. Thus, both archaeal-bacterial and fungal members of the ecosystem were shown to play an active role in the formation of stalactites.  相似文献

Hippobosca longipennis (Diptera: Hippoboscidae), the dog fly or dog louse fly, is an obligate blood‐feeding ectoparasite of wild and domestic carnivores in Africa and the Middle East. Outside its typically known geographic range, H. longipennis has been reported occasionally on mainly domestic dogs in Asia and southern Europe, and infrequently in other areas (central Europe and the U.S.A.). This paper presents the first report of H. longipennis in Romania and the second record of Lipoptena fortisetosa (Diptera: Hippoboscidae), a potentially invasive species. Hippobosca longipennis was found on domestic dogs in two regions of the country (northern Romania in Maramures and southwestern Romania in Dobrogea) and on two road‐killed wildcats in Maramures. Lipoptena fortisetosa was found on domestic dogs in Maramures. In both species identification was based on morphology and confirmed by barcoding of the cytochrome c oxidase subunit 1 gene. It is not clear for how long H. longipennis has been present in central Europe, nor if it was introduced (via the movement of domestic dogs or import of exotic carnivores) or present historically (Holocene remnants). This paper discusses the possible origins of H. longipennis in central Europe as its current distribution in the area is sparse and patchy.  相似文献
