The data of experimental studies on the after-fire digression of subtaiga forest-steppe pine forests in the Southwestern Baikal Region are analyzed. Ground fires of the litter-humus type are ascertained to be the most destructive factor in the dynamics of pine forests. The effect of a ground fire is accompanied with the drying of trees, and the vital capacity of those that survived the fire depends on the severity of fire damages. The characteristic of the lower vegetation layers and its dynamics under the effect of moderately intense fires are presented. Ground fires are shown to negatively affect the change in the reserve qualitative fractional structure of organogenic soil layers and their chemical composition. 相似文献

A novel phenomenon of unusual selective acridine orange (AO) staining ofpericentromeric heterochromatin regions (HRs) in chromosomal preparations from tissue with known spontaneous mitotic activity (chorionic villi, placenta, embryonic tissues, bone marrow, and testes), as well as embryonic stem cells, is described. Staining with 0.01% AO in a citric-phosphate (pH 5.5) or sodium phosphate (pH 7.0) buffer solution allows the HRs of human chromosomes (1q12, 9q12, 13p11.2, 14p11.2, 15p11.2, 16q11.2, 21p11.2, 22p11.2, and Yq12) and pericentromeric HRs of mouse chromosomes to be reliably detected by the red fluorescence of AO. This method of AO staining does not require any pretreatment. Explanations for metachromatic AO staining of polymorphic pericentromeric HRs in chromosomes of spontaneously dividing cells are suggested. A high reproducibility of the specific AO staining makes it possible to suggest its use as a reliable quick method for detection of polymorphic HRs of human chromosomes in cytogenetic prenatal diagnosis and oncohematology. 相似文献

A population of Stratiomys japonica, a species belonging to the family Stratiomyidae (Diptera), common name ‘soldier flies’, occurs in a hot volcanic spring, which is apparently among the most inhospitable environments for animals because of chemical and thermal conditions. Larvae of this species, which naturally often experience temperatures more than 40 °C, have constitutively high concentrations of the normally inducible heat-shock protein Hsp70, but very low level of corresponding mRNA. Larvae of three other species of the same family, Stratiomys singularior, Nemotelus bipunctatus and Oxycera pardalina, are confined to different type semi-aquatic habitats with contrasting thermal regime. However, all of them shared the same pattern of Hsp70 expression. Interestingly, heat-shock treatment of S. japonica larvae activates heat-shock factor and significantly induces Hsp70 synthesis, whereas larvae of O. pardalina, a species from constant cold environment, produce significantly less Hsp70 in response to heat shock. Adults of the four species also exhibit lower, but detectable levels of Hsp70 without heat shock. Larvae of all species studied have very high tolerance to temperature stress in comparison with other Diptera species investigated, probably representing an inherent adaptive feature of all Stratiomyidae enabling successful colonization of highly variable and extreme habitats. 相似文献

A change in the mass and composition of organic matter in the phytomass and soil of pine forests affected by mid-intensity and high-intensity fires is considered. It is shown that a mid-intensity fire did not catastrophically affect the pool of carbon in the middle-aged pine forests of the subtaiga forest-steppe and the taiga higher belt areas in the southwest of the Baikal region. Five years after a high-intensity fire, the carbon reserves in a mature taiga pine forest remain 20% lower than in an unaffected pine forest. Compared with the reference figures, the mass of C and soil cover in the stand phytomass decreased by 18 and 63%, respectively. In the easily mineralizable fraction of organic matter, the reserves of carbon decreased by half owing to burnout of waste wood (by 64%) and root detritus (by 50% compared with the reference tree stand figures). 相似文献

The effect of lyophilization and prolonged storage of rat brain membrane preparations on the properties of receptors of cholinergic and adrenergic neuromediator systems has been studied by the radioreceptor assay. The phylogeny of selected genera from four subfamilies of fungus gnats (Diptera: Mycetophilidae) – Manotinae, Leiinae, Sciophilinae and Gnoristinae (including Metanepsiini) – is reconstructed based on the combined analysis of five mitochondrial (12S, 16S, COI, COII, cytB) and two nuclear (28S, ITS2) gene markers. Results of the different analyses all support Manotinae as a monophyletic group, with Leiinae as the sister group. Allactoneura DeMeijere is nested in the monophyletic and strongly supported clade of Leiinae. The tribe Metanepsiini is revealed as paraphyletic and the genera Metanepsia Edwards and Chalastonepsia Søli do not appear to be closely related. The genera Docosia Winnertz, Ectrepesthoneura Enderlein, Novakia Strobl and Syntemna Winnertz were placed with a group of genera included traditionally in the Gnoristinae. The monophyly of Dziedzickia Johannsen and Phthinia Winnertz is not supported. The genera of Sciophilinae (excluding Paratinia Mik but including Eudicrana Loew) form a monophyletic group in the Bayesian model. 相似文献
