Summary Recently, using an APOE cDNA probe, we discovered an Hpa I restriction fragment length polymorphism (RFLP) that appeared to be strongly associated with the expression of type III hyperlipoproteinemia (Klasen et al. 1987). In the present report it is shown that the same Hpa I RFLP can be revealed with both the APOC1 and APOC2 cDNA probes. This enabled us to localize the polymorphic Hpa I site between the APOE and APOC1 genes and to localize the APOC2 gene approximately 22 kb 3 of the APOC1 pseudogene on chromosome 19.  相似文献

The spatial variability of S. lagocephalus post-larval traits, in February 2015, was investigated through comparison of pelagic larval duration (PLD), standard length (SL), body mass (BM) and condition factor among 6 rivers around Reunion Island. The variability of the same traits was also investigated within a recruitment event in another river, in January 2015. Our results showed homogeneity of the PLD both between sites during the recruitment of February 2015, and during the recruitment event of January 2015 at a given site. The other traits were different between the eastern and the western rivers. The post-larvae from the East were characterised by higher BM and condition factor whereas on the West they were longer. These differences can be explained by different environmental conditions experienced by larvae in the coastal oceanic water before they entered the river, but also by different migration routes during their marine dispersal. The coastal water on the eastern side, more turbid and probably trophically richer, could have induced a better growth of the post-larvae compared to those at the same age on the western side. A singularity was highlighted concerning the Marsouins River, located East of the island, where post-larvae were at a more advanced stage of their metamorphosis, characterised by both a smaller size and a lighter weight. This particularity was related to the location of the fishermen trapnet, positioned farther up river compared to all the other rivers, either West or East of the island.  相似文献

The dispersal of Pectinaria koreni larvae released from theeastern Bay of Seine (English Channel) was studied using a two-dimensionalhydrodynamic model which integrates tides, wind-driven currentsand eddy diffusion, in order to examine the influence of environmentalforcing and mortality on larval population dynamics. A broadagreement between predicted larval dispersal for two spawningevents observed in 1987 and field data suggests that numericalmodelling may be useful to analyse processes involved in thetransport and the dynamics of larval populations. Larval mortalitymay be as important as hydrodynamic processes on larval lossesfor the adult population. Tides and eddy diffusion had someeffects on larval dispersal, but wind forcing and the timingof spawning in relation to the meteorological environment arepredicted to be the main source of variability in larval dispersalrates. Although wind-induced larval transport may produce interannualvariations in larval retention and recruitment, predicted retentionrates were always sufficient to ensure the maintenance of theadult population, regardless of hydrodynamic conditions. Thelong-range transport of larvae from the eastern Bay of Seineto distant populations was conditioned by constant strong winds,lasting 15 consecutive days, and should be considered an extremelyrare event.  相似文献

The polychaete Owenia fusiformis is one of the most ecologically important species in the muddy fine sand sediments in the English Channel where it is distributed in geographically separated populations. A vertically averaged Lagrangian hydrodynamic model integrating tidal residual currents and wind-induced currents was used to drive an advection–diffusion model for investigating the variability of larval transport in order to assess the self-seeding capabilities and the degree of connectivity between local populations. Three different types of environmental forcing (i.e. tidal forcing alone, tidal forcing coupled with either NE winds or SW winds) were applied to 19 distinct populations. Without wind influence, self-seeding is the principal mechanism involved in the renewal of most populations. However, larval retention ranged from under 1% up to 81% in relation to the adult habitat size and the mean velocity of tidal residual currents. Wind forcing had a strong influence on larval dispersal patterns by modifying the origin and densities of settlers as well as the degree of connectivity between populations. As a consequence, larval supply from distant populations generally exceeded local supply and the inter-annual variability of wind forcing induced large year-to-year variations in larval settlement rates. Larval exchanges occurred mainly between neighbouring populations and three groups of interconnected local populations were thereby identified. The success of an exotic species relies on many factors including dispersal capabilities and adaptation to novel environments. In particular, rapid spread from an initial point of introduction favours long-term establishment of exotic species, especially when large genetic diversity is maintained during the colonization phase. We here focused on the slipper limpet, Crepidula fornicata, a species native to the western Atlantic that has successfully invaded European bays and estuaries since the end of the nineteenth century following repeated introductions. Its settlement at high densities has major consequences on the macro-benthic fauna and flora. The aim of the present study was to analyse the ability of C. fornicata for rapid diffusion and long-distance dispersal, at the level of a large French gulf, namely the gulf of St-Malo (covering 120 km in latitude and 40 km in longitude) in the English Channel. The genetic architecture of 16 populations distributed all over this gulf was investigated using five microsatellite loci. Genetic diversity was found to be high and did not vary significantly with population density, population age or geographic location. Moreover, despite potential isolation among populations due to a strong tidal regime and the action of wind-induced currents, only weak barriers to gene flow were found across the gulf. These results were in agreement with results obtained from a simple 2D larval dispersal model. Both genetic data and the simulation model highlighted the potential for rapid and efficient spread of C. fornicata at a regional level.  相似文献

In 2007, the SFPO (French Psycho-Oncological Society) created a Care Network Commission, which was to conduct a two-year survey regarding the organization of psychological management within 148 oncology and palliative care networks in France.
