A number of enzymatic reactions with the participation of lipid radicals is discussed in the article. It is supposed that NADPH- and NADH-dependent formation of the lipid radicals has a functional importance. The uptake of oxygen by free radicals is considered as one of the reactions of radicals utilization. It is proposed that other reactions with participation of lipid radicals can take place in the membranes of microsomes and mitochondria: the reaction of electron transfer from flavoprotein to cytochrome P448 and the reaction of energy transfer which provide the coupling of oxidation and phosphorylation.  相似文献

Summary A distinction between the chemical composition of ultrastructurally modified regions and the rest of the cell wall (canals) of the yeast Schwanniomyces occidentalis was shown by cytochemical staining of cell wall polysaccharides. The formation of canals was induced by cultivation of yeasts on hydrocarbons and was parallelled by the enhancement of -glucosidase, -glucanase and -mannosidase activities which were all capable of degrading cell wall polysaccharides. The presence of cycloheximide prevented canal formation. We assume that these hydrolases modified definite cell wall regions transforming them into canals.  相似文献

Successive condensation of derivatives of the trisaccharide, biological repeating-unit of the O-antigenic polysaccharide of Salmonella newington, followed by removal of protecting groups, has given the hexa- and nona-saccharides. A specific acidic polysaccharide was isolated from Sh. boydii type 8 antigenic lipopolysaccharide after mild hydrolysis followed by chromatography on Sephadex G-50. The polysaccharide consists of D-glucuronic acid, D-galacturonic acid, 2-acetamido-2-deoxy-D-glucose, 2-acetamido-2-deoxy-D-galactose and 2-amino-1,3-propanediol residues in 1:1:1:1:1 ratio. From the results of methylation analysis, partial acid hydrolysis and Smith degradation, the structure of the repeating unit of the specific polysaccharide was deduced as: (Formula: see text). The 13C NMR spectra of native, O-deacetylated and carboxyl-reduced polysaccharides, as well as the spectrum of oligosaccharide produced by Smith degradation were interpreted. The 13C NMR data fully confirmed the structure of the polysaccharide repeating unit.  相似文献

The inhibition of membrane ATPase from the marine alkalotolerant bacterium Vibrio alginolyticus by DCCD, triphenyltin and venturicidin was studied. DCCD proved to be an irreversible inhibitor, while venturicidin and triphenyltin produced a reversible inhibitory effect. The DCCD-binding proteolipid was identified in the membrane preparations. The effect of the inhibitors on ATPase activity and ATP-dependent Na+-transport in V. alginolyticus subcellular vesicles is discussed.  相似文献

As a result of crosses between the SHR rats (spontaneously hypertensive strain) and WKY rats (normotensive strain), the F1 and F2 hybrids and the B1 and B2 backcrosses were obtained. Analysis of genetic control nature in these generations revealed that the WKY genes responsible for the level of arterial pressure, sensitivity to the electric current stimulation and salt (sodium and potassium) appetite characteristics were dominant. The heterosis effect was found for the body mass. Analysis of dynamics of different types of exploratory activity (in a shuttle box, in "horizontal plane", in an open field) demonstrated specificity of their genetic formulae and peculiarities of changes in their genetic control during the test.  相似文献

The specific polysaccharide was obtained from the lipopolysaccharide of Shigella newcastle by mild acid hydrolysis and further purified by permeation chromatography on Sephadex G-50. It was found to consist of L-rhamnose, 2-acetamido-2-deoxy-D-galactose, D-galacturonic acid residues and O-acetyl groups in the molar ratios of 2:1:1:1. On the basis of 1H and 13C nuclear magnetic resonance spectroscopy, methylation analysis, partial acid hydrolysis, Smith degradation, and chromium trioxide oxidation, the following structure can be assigned to the repeating oligosaccharide unit of the polysaccharide:-4)DGalA(beta 1-3)DGalNAc-(beta 1-2)LAc3Rha(alpha 1-2)LRha(alpha 1-, where GalA = galacturonic acid. GalNAc = N-acetylgalactosamine, Ac3Rha = 3-O-acetylrhamnose. The structural and immunochemical data presented prove that Sh. newcastle lipopolysaccharide belongs to a 'non-classical' type of somatic antigens with acidic O-specific polysaccharide chains.  相似文献

The effect of lincocin (a plastid protein synthesis inhibitor) treatment on the greening process of bean (Phaseolus vulgaris L.) leaves have been studied. In comparison with control leaves treated ones had a decreased rate of chloroplast development. They had a marked chlorophyll deficiency and a decreased chlorophyll a/b ratio. Some long and short wavelength forms of chlorophyll a were lacking as evidenced from the absorption spectra at 25°C and the fluorescence spectra at 77°K. The –14CO2 fixation was inhibited by 80–90% in treated leaves. The fluorescence induced by the measuring light was greater in the treated leaves than in the control ones, and the kinetics of the decline of the relative fluorescence intensity were also different. Electron microscopic studies showed macrogranum-like structures and incomplete membrane vesicles in the treated plastids. After longer treatment a destruction of membranes was observed. The results indicate some structural and functional membrane deficiencies and instability of the membranes.  相似文献

A new acidic sugar, 3-O-[(R)-1-carboxyethyl]-L-rhamnose (1), has been identified as a constituent of the O-antigenic lipopolysaccharide of Sh. dysenteriae type 5. The structure of 1 has been established by physico-chemical methods and by synthesis. Alkylation of methyl 2,5-di-O-benzyl-alpha-L-rhamnofuranoside (6) with (S)- or (R)-2-chloropropionic acids, followed by removal of the protecting groups, afforded 3-O-[(R)-1-carboxyethyl]-L-rhamnose (9) and 3-O-[(S)-1-carboxyethyl]-L-rhamnose (10), respectively. The properties of 1 coincide with those of 9.  相似文献
