State of the free-radical oxidation system in normobaric hypoxia]   总被引:2,自引:0,他引:2  
The experiments on the rats have revealed that 7-hour action of 10% hypoxic gas mixture (HGM-10) exerts no effect on the parameters of Fe(2+)-induced chemiluminescence and rate of accumulation of TBA-active products in the heart, liver, kidney, brain tissues and blood plasma. Two-week adaptation to intermittent effect of HGM-10 causes some activation of free-radical oxidation recorded in blood plasma and the more pronounced increase in power of the endogenic antioxidant system. It is assumed that the revealed changes in the state of the homeostatic system of free-radical oxidation and antiradical protection of the organism are of importance in the mechanism of the known preventive and curative action of intermittent normobaric hypoxia.  相似文献

The activities of green cell-free extracts of spinach leavesin performing photochemical transphosphorylation, photosyntheticphosphorylation, the HILL reaction and the light-induced formationof the endogenous reducing substance (ascorbic acid) were followedin parallel during the growth process of the plant. There wasa certain parallelism between the development of the activitiesof photochemical transphosphorylation, of photo-synthetic phosphorylationand of the HILL reaction, activities being low in the earlierstage of growth, reaching a maximum just before efflorescence,and showing thereafter a more or less sharp decline. The activityin the light-induced formation of endogenous reducing substancewas undetectable for the first 35 day-period of growth, reacheda maximum about one week earlier than the other three activities,and again disappeared after 60 days of growth. Numerous studies revealed high diversity of T4-like bacteriophages in various environments, but so far, little is known about T4-like virus diversity in freshwater bodies, particularly in eutrophic lakes. The present study was aimed at elucidating molecular diversity of T4-like bacteriophages in eutrophic Lake Kotokel located near Lake Baikal by partial sequencing of the major capsid genes (g23) of T4-like bacteriophages. The majority of g23 fragments from Lake Kotokel were most similar to those from freshwater lakes and paddy fields. Despite the proximity and direct water connection between Lake Kotokel and Lake Baikal, g23 sequence assemblages from two lakes were different. UniFrac analysis showed that uncultured T4-like viruses from Lake Kotokel tended to cluster with those from the distant lake of the same trophic status. This fact suggested that the trophic conditions affected the formation of viral populations, particularly of T4-like viruses, in freshwater environments.  相似文献

Dose rates cause no adverse effects on natural populations of Pinus sylvestris L. and Vicia cracca L. inhabiting territories contaminated by uranium mill tailings and radium production wastes (Vodny settlement, Komi Republic) were determined. A significant increase in embryonic lethal mutation frequency in V. cracca legumes and decrease in seedlings survival rate as compared with control values were registered at dose rate equal to 1.67 mGy/day, that is 280 times higher than the one calculated for the reference site. The adverse effects in P. sylvestris expressed in increased frequency of chromosome aberrations in meristematic root tips and decreased reproductive capacity of seeds were determined at absorbed dose rate equal to 0.083 mGy/day. Data obtained show that the decrease in plant reproductive capacity in case of chronic exposure of radionuclides of uranium and thorium decay series can observe at lower weighted absorbed dose rates than in case of environmental contamination by artificial radionuclides.  相似文献

232Th (7.76 x 10(-7) M) and Cd (0.89 x 10(-8) M) in concentrations which do not exceed officially prescribed standards when entering with water do not increase the frequency of chromosome aberrations in comparison with the control. Such concentrations do not cause toxic effects in plants on the levels of tissues and of the whole organism but they do display their activity on the cell level damaging division spindle. Dependence "cadmium concentration-effect" is not linear for any type of cytogenetical damages. At the concentration of cadmium 0.89 x 10(-7) M its influence on formation of division spindle is weakened and the frequency of chromosome aberrations is reducing in comparison with the control and with the effects induced at lower concentrations of cadmium in solution (0.89 x 10(-8) M). Cadmium in high concentration (5.34 x 10(-5) M) causes significant toxic and mutagenic effects.  相似文献

The influence of different concentrations of cadmium and potassium on the levels of mutagenic and cytotoxic effects induced by thallium-232 in Allium cepa root meristem has been studied. The combined action of 232Th (0.8 microM) with cadmium in non-toxic (0.009 microM) and toxic (5 microM) concentrations resulted in sinergetic increase of the frequency of aberrant cells in Allium cepa root meristem. Decrease of the mutagenic effect to the additive level and antagonism with respect to the cytotoxic one was observed only at the certain concentrations of 232Th (0.8 microM) and Cd (0.09 microM) and the time of impact 30 h. In contrast to the heavy metal cadmium the essential for plants potassium at all studied concentrations (0.008, 6, 13 mM) decreased the number of cytogenetic aberrations in control experiments and under the effect of 232Th. The maximum protective effect of potassium was detected at the concentration 13 mM.  相似文献

Studies of glasshouse tomato bacterial diseases agents complex have been conducted in some regions of Russia in 1987–1996. Microbiological analysis of seeds and plants of local and foreign selection made it possible to assess quality of the seed material and phytosanitary condition of tomato plants. It's very important to obtain and to cultivate healthy seed material of high quality. A fungal endo-ß-l,3-glucanase was compared with afungal exo-ß-1,3-glucanase with respect to their effectson elongation and cell-wall extensibility in oat coleoptilesegments. The exo-enzyme enhanced elongation and extensibilityof the cell wall. Its effect was not additive to the effectof indole-3-acetic acid when given together with the latter,at least during 3 hr of incubation. Endo-glucanase showed nosignificant effect on elongation and no interaction with theexo-enzyme. Auxin and exo-glucanase increased extensibilityof the cell wall. The exo-glucanase was separated by isoelectricfocusing. The two fractions which were separated and showedglucanase activity induced elongation and cell wall loosening.
