锌是中枢神经系统含量最丰富的过渡金属元素之一,对维持中枢神经系统正常生理功能具有重要作用,其稳态失衡与多种疾病有关。阿尔茨海默病是一种多病因神经退行性疾病,以β-淀粉样斑块形成和神经原纤维缠结为主要病理特征。研究表明,脑锌代谢紊乱在阿尔茨海默病发病过程中扮演重要角色,但确切机制尚不十分清楚。综述了脑锌代谢和稳态调控以及锌和锌转运蛋白参与β-淀粉样蛋白沉积与老年斑形成的病理过程,并探讨了金属一蛋白阻尼复合物如何通过恢复脑锌稳态延缓疾病进程、改善患者认知能力的治疗策略。  相似文献

Many plants show compensatory regrowth after herbivory and dormant buds often have an important role in compensatory responses. Theoretical models have shown that herbivore damage may select for a bud bank, i.e., a pool of dormant buds that are protected from herbivory and that are activated after herbivore damage. Earlier models assumed that undamaged plants cannot activate their dormant buds without damage, although they apparently have sufficient resources for successful seed production through the additional shoots dormant buds could produce. However, many plants are able to gradually activate buds over an extended period of time without any cue from damage. The aim of this study was to analyze how herbivory imposes selection for gradual mobilization of the bud bank. I assume that selection pressures that affect the fraction of buds active at each time point include damage by herbivores, time left to the end of season, and the opportunity costs of dormant buds. I modelled bud dynamics with gradual activation when there is a single damage event and (i) when the seed set of a shoot is not dependent on the time it is active, or (ii) when the seed set of a shoot diminishes with later activation. In addition, I analyzed how (iii) risk of repeated herbivory affects selection for gradual activation. Under these models, gradual activation is optimal over a wide range of herbivory pressures. Selection appears to favour activation of all buds at the beginning of the season only when herbivore pressure is weak and when early shoots have a higher seed set than late shoots. Alternatively, strong herbivore pressure and late damage may select for a large bud bank throughout the growing season, without gradual activation; the bud bank is only mobilized after damage. In this case, damaged plants can overcompensate, i.e. they have a higher seed set than undamaged plants with the same bud activation pattern. Selection for overcompensation demands a stronger herbivore pressure in this current model than in earlier bud bank models. The model never predicts selection for overcompensation when there is a risk of repeated herbivory. This revised version was published online in July 2006 with corrections to the Cover Date.  相似文献

Shoots of bryophytes collected in the desiccated state from the field are likely to be hardened to desiccation tolerance (DT) to varying degrees. To account for this, most studies on DT include a relatively short deacclimation period. However, no study has experimentally determined the appropriate deacclimation time for any bryophyte species. Our purposes are to (i) determine if ‘field effects’ are biologically relevant to DT studies and how long a deacclimation period is required to remove them; and (ii) utilise field versus cultured shoot responses within the context of a deacclimation period to elucidate the ecological strategy of DT. Our hypothesis (based on an extensive literature on DT) is that a deacclimation period from 24 to 72 h should be sufficient to eliminate historical stress effects on the physiology of the shoots and allow an accurate determination of the inherent ecological DT strategy (constitutive or inducible). We determined, however, using chlorophyll fluorescence and visual estimates of shoot damage, that field‐collected shoots of the desert moss Crossidium crassinerve required an experimental deacclimation period of >7 days before field effects were removed, and revealed an ecological DT strategy of inducible DT. If the deacclimation period was <6 days, the shoot response conformed to an ecological strategy of constitutive protection. Thus the presence of field effects can obscure the ecological strategy of desiccation tolerance exhibited by the species, and this translates into a need to re‐evaluate previous mechanistic and ecological studies of desiccation tolerance in plants.  相似文献

Anoxybacillus flavithermus subsp. yunnanensis is the only strictly thermophilic bacterium that is able to tolerate a broad range of toxic solvents at its optimal temperature of 55-60°C. The type strain E13T was isolated from water-sediment slurries collected from a hot spring. This study presents the draft genome sequence of A. flavithermus subsp. yunnanensis E13T and its annotation. The 2,838,393bp long genome (67 contigs) contains 3,035 protein-coding genes and 85 RNA genes, including 10 rRNA genes, and no plasmids. The genome information has been used to compare with the genomes from A. flavithermus subsp. flavithermus strains.  相似文献

Eight populations of Aster tripolium (Compositae) and six of Salicornia ramosissima (Chenopodiaceae) from inland, naturally salt-contaminated habitats and anthropogenic salt-polluted sites in central Germany (Thuringia, Anhalt-Saxony) were analysed using random amplified polymorphic DNA (RAPD) markers to investigate the patterns of genetic variation. In both species, the genetic diversity observed in the younger, anthropogenic sites caused by potash mines during the last century was found to be not significantly lower than in the older, naturally salt-contaminated habitats. Therefore, it is speculated that the loss of genetic diversity caused by founder effects on the anthropogenic habitats was balanced by successive colonization events, actual gene flow between populations, or the rapid growth of populations on the secondary habitats after colonization. Analyses of molecular variance (amova) of the RAPD markers, neighbour-joining clustering of populations based on Reynolds' co-ancestry distances, and Mantel tests indicate that: (i) anthropogenic habitats were colonized independently; (ii) genetic differentiation among populations of S. ramosissima is more pronounced than in A. tripolium, which is considered to be mainly due to biological differences between the two species; and (iii) the geographical pattern of genetic diversity was considerably modulated by historical events and/or population genetic effects.  相似文献

The resurrection flowering plant Ramonda serbica inhabits the shallow organo-mineral soil that develops in crevices on northern-facing carbonate rocks in the gorges in the Balkan Peninsula. This type of soil represents a complex substrate whose physical and chemical properties were found to be well suited to the most important requirements for the growth and development of R. serbica as well as for the plant’s survival in the state of anhydrobiosis in periods of drought stress. Considerable amount of organic matter (39.4%) in the soil resulted in the high field capacity (134 ml/100 g soil) as well as the slow changes in the amount of its available water. The suitable soil hydric status, based on the organic remains, supports the slow dehydration of this poikilohydric plant, which is extremely important in allowing the activation of the plant’s protective mechanisms. The pH of the soil solution was slighty alkaline (7.7) mostly due to carbonates in its crystallographic structure. The large amount of incompletely decomposed organic debris resulted in a marked difference between total and available nutrient concentration in the soil. Still, the adequate content of nutrients in the leaves points to efficient mineral consumption by the plant roots. The sufficient bioavailability of nutrients and water was also improved by vesicular–arbuscular mycorrhiza detected in R. serbica roots.  相似文献

植物激素乙烯在多种生理生化过程中发挥重要作用,但其在特定组织器官中的合成机制尚不完全清楚。拟南芥中存在12个功能未知的ACC氧化酶类似蛋白(ACO-like homolog,ACOL),运用基因定点编辑技术构建了ACOL8的功能丧失型突变体,发现该基因的突变削弱了经典的乙烯“三重反应”。与野生型相比,突变体黄化幼苗下胚轴及主根的长度显著增加,这与突变体对外源ACC的敏感性下降现象一致。同时还发现ACOL8基因的表达受乙烯信号的正反馈调控,EIN3过表达增强其表达水平,而etr1-3的突变则产生相反效应。再者,在正常条件下,ACOL8基因的突变并未影响拟南芥的生长;但在盐胁迫条件下,突变体的根冠比显著下降,这说明该基因参与植物的盐胁迫响应。综上,这些结果说明ACOL8可能具有ACC氧化酶的功能,参与乙烯的合成与响应。  相似文献

Abstract

Arsenic, cadmium, lead, and mercury in fish is the result of long-term biomagnification in the food chain and is of public concern, due to the toxicity they engender. The objective of this research was to determine the concentrations of arsenic, cadmium, lead, and mercury in 13 species of marine fish broadly commercialized in Aracaju, SE, Brazil and to evaluate the risks of fish consumption associated with these trace elements, using the Target Hazard Quotient (THQ). As, Cd, and Pb levels were measured with inductively coupled plasma mass spectrometry (ICP-MS), and mercury was analyzed via cold vapor atomic absorption spectrometry. The results indicate a large variability in concentrations for arsenic (0.07–2.03?mg kg–1) and mercury (0.01–1.44?mg kg–1), associated with the animal dietary category. Cadmium (0.04–0.19?mg kg–1) and lead (<0.01–0.45?mg kg–1), on the other hand showed a mild variability. None of the evaluated specimens had As, Cd, and Pb THQ values higher than 1. The THQ values for mercury were higher but indicated no consumption risk, except for amberjack, and snook fish. Overall THQ indicates lower risk of consumption in fish that are at the base of the food chain, than in those that are top predators.  相似文献

为了鉴定东乡野生稻及其后代群体的耐低氮性,研究低氮和正常氮2种处理下“协青早B//东乡野生稻/协青早B”BC1-F12回交重组自交系株高、抽穗期、穗长、有效穗数、穗实粒数、穗总粒数、着粒密度、结实率、千粒重和单株产量等10个表型性状,利用主成分分析和模糊隶属函数对BILs群体的耐低氮性进行综合评价.结果表明: 株系116、143和157的耐低氮性强,可作为东乡野生稻耐低氮性遗传研究和水稻耐低氮性育种的中间材料.采用逐步回归分析法建立了耐低氮性最优回归方程,筛选到株高、穗总粒数、结实率、千粒重和单株产量等5个性状相对值可作为水稻全生育期耐低氮性的综合评价指标.因此,在水稻耐低氮性遗传改良中,应注重对这5个性状,尤其是穗总粒数和单株产量相对值的选择.

以正十六烷为唯一碳源,从长期受石油污染的土壤中筛选到一株高效降解正十六烷的菌株LAM0048。通过形态学观察、生理生化试验、细胞化学组分分析、16S rRNA基因序列分析、细胞脂肪酸和极性脂试验,确定其属于棒杆菌亚目(Corynebacterineae)、诺卡菌科(Nocardiaceae)、戈登氏属(Gordonia),且可能为戈登氏属的一株新种。采用单因素实验对菌株LAM0048在无机盐培养基中降解正十六烷的降解率进行初步探讨,发现该菌株能在以正十六烷为唯一碳源的培养基中生长,菌株LAM0048能够在36 h内完全降解0.05%(V/V)的正十六烷,当烷烃浓度达到1.0%(V/V)时,降解率达46.4%。结果表明LAM0048是一株具有耐受高浓度烷烃的石油降解菌,在石油污染环境的微生物修复中具有一定的应用潜力。  相似文献
