With four soils differing in K supplying power and with four rice cultivars (Oryza sativa L.) differing in K uptake kinetic parameters, the relationship between K fertilizer application and soil redox status in rhizosphere and; the distribution of ferrous iron and other toxic substances on the root surface and in the rhizosphere; and the effect of K supply on uptake of reduced iron by rice plants have been studied.The results show that K application on K-deficient soils reduced the content of active reducing substances and ferrous iron in the soil, raised the soil redox potential in the rhizosphere, increased the Eh value of rice roots and lowered the content of iron in the rice plants. These effects of K varied with different rice cultivars. When no K fertilizer was applied, active reducing substances and ferrous iron in rhizosphere soils were decreased more by the rice cultivars absorbing K strongly (e.g. Shanyou 64) than by cultivars absorbing K weakly (e.g. Zhongguo 91). Therefore, the diminution of the toxic substances by K application in the weakly K-absorbing cultivars was more significant.The observation of a rhizobox separated by a nylon screen showed that appreciably more iron oxides, compared with the control, were deposited at or adjacent to the root surfaces of the rice plant supplied with K fertilizer, fully demonstrating the relationship between K nutrition and the total oxidizing power of rice plants. According to the distribution of active reducing substances and ferrous iron, the oxidizing range of the rice root extended in K application treatment a few centimeters away from the root plane. K application to rice affected the soil redox status in rhizosphere in many ways. The main effect was an increase of the oxidizing power of the rice root. As a result, the value of soil Eh was increased, the contents of active reducing substances and ferrous iron were lowered, as well as the number of oxygen consuming microorganisms. 相似文献

The effects of cassava mosaic virus disease (CMD) on yield in fully and partly infected stands of cassava were investigated in field trials in Uganda in 1990-91 and 1991-92. Three cultivars (Ebwanateraka, Bao and Bukalasa 1 l), each at three levels of cutting infection (O%, 50% and 100%) and harvested 510 and 15 months after planting (MAP) were used in a randomised block design with split-split plots and four replicates. Moreover, yield and growth data for individual infected and uninfected plants were considered in relation to the health status of their nearest neighbours. In each experiment, fresh tuberous root yields of plants from 100% infected plots gave sigdicantly lower yields than those from 0% or 50% infected plots at each harvest date and the losses were greatest in cv. Bao. Yields of plants from 0% and 50% plots for each of the three cultivars were not significantly different, 10 and 15 MAP. The loss in yield differed between cultivars and harvest dates. Fresh stem, leaf and root yields and the number of tuberous roots were influenced by the health status of the plants harvested and that of their nearest neighbours. Uninfected plants surrounded by infected ones had more roots and heavier total fresh root, stem and leaf weights than those surrounded by uninfected ones. Overall, 26% and 42% compensation was recorded in 1990-91 and 1991-92, respectively. The effects of CMD on cassava production and of compensation in mixed stands of infected and uninfected plants are discussed, especially in relation to control strategies such as roguing. 相似文献

Chilling‐induced photosynthetic impairment was examined in leaves of maize (Zea mays L.) seedlings of two cultivars, one adapted to western Europe and one adapted to Mexican highlands. Three experiments were performed in a controlled environment. The effects of chilling night temperatures, of chilling at high light intensity and of variable chilling day temperatures on photosynthetic parameters, were evaluated. Chilling in the dark period resulted in stomatal limitation of net photosynthesis. Chilling at moderate to high light intensities caused chilling‐dependent photoinhibition of CO2 uptake. Photobleached maize leaves did not resume normal photosynthetic function. Maize cv. Batan 8686 from the highlands of Mexico was less susceptible to photosynthetic damage than maize cv. This work describes the influence of yeast population on the chemical characteristics of wine obtained by spontaneous and
inoculated fermentation of must from Vitis vinifera Lado, a minor white grapevine autochthonous to Galicia (NW Spain). The study was carried out for two consecutive years. The
results showed that musts derived from Lado presented a high acidity though the potential alcohol level was acceptable. The
genetic diversity of S. cerevisiae strains isolated from spontaneous fermentations was low, probably due to must characteristics, although these did not interfere
with the implantation of the commercial strains used. Analyses showed that the wines subsequently produced had high alcoholic
levels and very high acidities (pH 3.0) as was expected from must composition. Wines obtained from spontaneous fermentations
had a lower alcohol content but higher total acidity than those from inoculated fermentations. Monovarietal wines produced
from Lado were poorly evaluated in sensorial tests because of their unbalanced structure and sourness; however, when they

稻纵卷叶螟Cnaphalocrocis medinalis连年大发生,为在其治理中培育和推广抗虫品种,本文应用扫描电镜和生化测定研究了5个常用水稻栽培品种扬辐粳8号、扬稻6号、扬粳9538、淮稻9号和宁梗1号叶片中的硅含量、硅颗粒大小、蜡质含量等物理指标和一些生化指标与抗虫性的关系,并比较了稻纵卷叶螟幼虫危害不同水稻品种后其体内生化反应的差异。结果表明抗虫品种宁梗1号、淮稻9号叶片表面的硅含量显著高于感虫品种,硅颗粒大小在品种间无显著差异。宁粳1号叶片蜡质含量显著高于其他品种。由此表明叶片表面硅和蜡质含量与抗性有关。稻纵卷叶螟幼虫取食后,抗虫品种体内的过氧化物酶(POD)、超氧化物岐化酶(SOD)活性显著高于感虫品种,但丙二醛(MDA)含量低于感虫品种。稻纵卷叶螟幼虫取食不同品种后,其体内一些酶的活性明显不同,取食抗虫品种的幼虫体内POD和谷胱甘肽-S-转移酶(GST)活性显著高于取食其他品种的幼虫,SOD活性显著低于取食感虫品种的幼虫, 表明抗虫品种对稻纵卷叶螟幼虫有毒害作用。 相似文献
